I really like this app so far! I love being able to upload photos of my favorite foods so I can eat all the wonderful fruits, vegetables, and leftovers I have in my fridge before I grab the bag of chips. However, I think the app designers missed the mark on why people want to keep a list like this. I don’t want to upload a new photo and re-enter my food every day or every week. But once you “trash” an item, it disappears into the ether. Most people eat the same things often, so I’d prefer the “trash” action to send the foods to another list or give me the option to add it to my shopping list. I bypassed that by adding a shopping section to the top, but I’m worried I’m going to accidentally trash one of my favorite foods and have to upload a new photo again. I’d also love to see a better expiration date section. Like buttons for “4 days from now” or “2 weeks from now” - common expiration timelines. Other than that, this app is perfect!

I really like this app so far! Really cool, simple app. Does what it's supposed to do so that's really cool. My only complaint is you can't add photos from camera roll of items (I like crisp stock photo I pull from the store and rather save the pic and input that instead of photograph all my groceries), and you can't edit items to add photos. Also, the two main categories are locked in and can't be edited. We have a mini fridge, regular fridge in kitchen, pantry and some snacks my fiance keeps in the bedroom. Would be nice if I could designate my own categories (all of them). Overall lovely app. Great, seamless design that's easy to use. Love the dark mode and ability to change app icon color.

Thanks a lot for your nice feedback. Regarding adding product picture, with the latest update of Fridge Buddy you can now choose to take a picture or add a picture from the camera roll. I'm adding to my todo list, the possibility to edit already added product picture's and being able to modify the two main categories available. Needs additional features and faster product scan

I bought the lifetime pass to this app to try to support the developer, so don’t take this as an attack! There is a lot of work to be done on this app. The scan and product fetching is very slow at times, same with the processing of expiration dates from scans. The app can lag for up to 30 seconds while trying to fetch information. When you’re doing a full pantry full of inventory that just isn’t acceptable for an app that is meant to streamline that process. It should not be faster to type in names by hand. I’m hoping that this gets addressed in the future updates. I would also really like to see a feature that allows you to sort, pantry items or fridge items by category. For example, the ability to sort by canned foods, sauces, grains, etc. this would make the app much more useful for meal planning and inventory management. Thank you!

In short, I think consumed one is functioning as consumed all. Hope it gets fixed, since I have not been able to 'undo' something, or even look back at the list of consumed items to mark it perhaps as not consumed. Open a grocery receipt PDF in FridgeBuddy, review the detected products, and add them to your inventory when you are ready. New • Import PDF receipts from Files, Mail, or another app that can open the document in FridgeBuddy. Check and edit the products before saving. • On new installations, tapping “+” shows the available ways to add products. Existing users keep their current setting. Improved • Smart-list widgets follow your list order, visibility, and chosen “upcoming” expiry window. • If meal-idea generation fails, you can try again without losing the recipes already shown. Fixed • Fixed a crash that could prevent the app from opening. • Contact options remain available when Apple Mail is not configured.
