I think the devs have put effort to recreate the magical spirit of the Heroes series, and they did well overall! For the nostalgic ones, of course, they have got inspired a lot by the original games but have twisted a few things for the originality and mobile format and it’s nice to discover new creatures and skills in a familiar gameplay!I think there are 2-3 small things that should be prioritized to improve a lot the gaming experience (those are the ones that make be quit each time):1. The most frustrating aspect of the game is the repetitive and sometimes buggy ads, and higher in the game the gold cost for revive is just insanely high, would be good to have a specific resource dedicated for revive that could be collected on the map or in events. Watching an ad once in a while or to get higher rewards is OK but not when it’s basically after every single fight.2. One of the most missing feature is the market place to trade resources, especially to get the keys now that they have been removed from the precious league’s rewards. Trading lower value keys for higher ones would be awesome!3. The new league is much better than the previous system but the rewards are simply too low, consider adding some keys or the newly added revive resource!With those updates, pretty sure I won’t be able to stop playing the game till I finish all content!
Fun for a little while

This game definitely brings a healthy dose of HOMM nostalgia for us older gamers. For that I give it two stars. Unfortunately, the in-game mechanics are completely different than the original. There are no castle upgrades, no resource benefits to taking any land, no troop recruitment. What it ends up being is a commercial watching game where you continually watch commercials to get tiny chests that have a couple troops in them. It is fun at first when you are on the easier maps as the enemy is also very weak and you can win and then wait a second for your troops to heal. Soon, though, you are fighting against enemies that can destroy your entire party in one turn. Your only way to continue to play is to buy expensive chests that might give you some units that make you able to keep playing. After every fight, you must wait 20 minutes for your units to heal or watch another commercial to keep playing. It constantly demands jewels and coins to upgrade to be able to keep playing. For example, there are areas of the map that are not accessible unless you pay 2000 gems. If you don’t pay those gems you can’t completely clear the level, but if you do pay there isn’t anywhere near 2000 gems worth of treasure to be gained in the entire part of the map. How would you accumulate 2000 gems? Well, you get 5 gems per commercial so you can watch 400 minutes of advertisements to access this area. Stupid. I enjoyed it for a few days and they got $20 bucks out of me or so, but pretty quickly it dies off. Stay away!
Ruined a good game

I have been playing Hero’s of Might and Magic from when it first game out in the 90’s, and this app is nothing more than a money grab that destroys everything that was good about the game. There are non-stop adds if you want to get a little bit extra resources and to revive your army’s, and there is no way to remove the adds via a subscription like other better designed apps. You don’t get to build up a castle or choose your fraction or what creatures you want . It is all by chance by opening up treasure chests you find on the map, or by over paying for chest in the store that are not worth the money. The fighting arena is a joke. It will put you up against teams that have powerful creatures that you do not even have access to yet and then punishes you for losing. You go down -22 points when you lose and only go up 25 points when you win, which again is a joke. When you do lose, you don’t go up against any easier teams, they just stay incredibly hard and impossible to beat. They use bots in the area competition to compete against you for rank, which affects what rewards you get, probably because there are not enough people playing this joke of a game, so they have to make fake completion. Unless you want to pay hundreds of dollars for a cheating game that give garbage rewards and tons of adds, I would probably find something else. I regret every second of my like I wasted playing this garbage game!

I’ve been playing this game for a few weeks now daily. Started before the most recent update. I was thoroughly enjoying this game. No actual pay walls. Very nostalgic. The ads in game WERE completely worth it. By the time to you would finish the ad, your army would be relatively healed. You could get free rewards from the store for watching one every few hours. Now every ad is broken and you can’t get any free rewards. You can’t double your rewards by watching the ads. Please fix this. This new update otherwise made an already addicting game have depth and longevity. Please fix the ads/rewards system.I had to upgrade my rating to the 5-Star from my previous lower rating. Thank you for fixing the ad problem. I have continued to play this game even through this time and because I’ve been enjoying it so much I bought some of the chest offers that appear. Every purchase I made significantly improved my play level. It wasn’t a waste of money if you don’t mind paying towards mobile games. I can say without a doubt, this game can be free to play or you can speed up with in game purchases. Either way this game is super addicting and a ton of fun. You have to at least try it!
