Description
The Sirius Signal app allows you to activate SOS on your Sirius Signal C-1002 via Bluetooth. The app also shows the battery status of the device and lets you test the light so that everything is ready before you start your boat trip.
That's just for starters. The app also allows you to utilize our comprehensive Sirius Emergency Alert System. For example:
- Enter your float plan before you start your trip and send it to your selected contacts via SMS with one press of a button.
- Send SMS "Check Me" SMS messages to selected contacts that include your custom message and current location (on Google Maps) with one press of a button.
- Send SOS SMS messages and voice phone calls with one press of a button when you are in an emergency situation.
- App also includes an offline first aid guide for common boating ailments.
Note: Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life. Sirius Signal will only use your GPS location in the background if you have started a boat trip.
