Vocal does something completely different from other dating apps: personality first dating through voice calls. Play an anonymous dating game based around real time voice conversations. Vocal is simple: daters can choose to either start or join dates. One host starts a date session with up to three participants. The host chooses a question they want the participants to answer, and joins a one-on-one call with each participant to talk in real-time. The host chooses one to match with, and afterward they can continue the conversation, reveal profiles, and talk in longer voice calls.
Blind dates are only the beginning on Vocal! Once you make a match, you can continue the conversation through messages and calls. As a former user of the usual dating apps, I’ve found them all to be stale.This new concept for a dating app is brilliant.DateNight brings an element to online dating that is entirely lacking in other apps. It’s the very real aspect of dating that I miss without going on in-person dates lately - feeling that spark of a connection with someone.For me, I see the anonymous introductory voice chats as a way to really see if you have a connection. If you’re able to have easy conversation with someone, you’ll start daydreaming what their smile looks like as they talk about something with passion.The next step is revealing profiles to each other and looking forward to the next phone call. If you find yourself missing the excitement that accompanies a new crush, then you should use this app.

What I love about this app is it’s more chat-based. You don’t get to see the other person’s profile until you choose to reveal it, so you get to know more about the person first instead of being judged by appearances from the get-go. I think it’s interesting how the app’s made more to be like a game, with things such as milestone you can get. Very simple, clean design that I could easily navigate through. Would recommend 100%

This app utilizes real time conversations and cuts through the red tape usually associated with dating apps! You get to put in preferences for what you are actually looking for in a partner and then make choices accordingly. It is so much more than just swiping and honestly mimics a real blind date! It is super fun and easy to use. I highly recommend to anyone who is over incessant swiping and cringey messages from people behind a screen. I will definitely keep using!!

It's a nice change from your typical dating app, very refreshing to meet people for their personality and to meet people who genuinely want to get to know you. Pretty user friendly and easy to navigate! Can't wait to go on more dates on the app :)
