This is a great Company of hero’s style game that honestly in my opinion is just better. Its a fun strategy game that actually does follow a lot of the same mechanics that company of hero’s follows. The upside to it being that it simplifies those mechanics down to the point of almost anyone being able to pick up this game and play it. It allows for a wide diversity in load-outs as there are cards for units. You are allowed 7-9 spaces to build a card deck to take into battle. And depending on the build, you may do good or bad and different units actually do have different weaknesses which is cool. It puts an emphasis on bringing certain units over others. For instance, having an anti-tank vehicle in your deck is always a smart move in case you’re against an opponent who likes armored vehicles. The same goes for infantry and anti-infantry. The maps are fairly big and allow for the building of defensive structures in designated spots, and the structures actually can play a role in winning you the game. By placing them around a capture point you can hold the point to bleed enemy points dry. Overall this game has alot to offer if you’re into RTS games and plays heavily into doing well with combined arms. My review here doesn’t do it justice and I recommend playing it yourself to the have fun.

Let me start this off by saying this has been my go to game for the past couple of months during my lunch breaks. The matches are action packed and can last 10 to 15 minutes. The units are fun to use. That being said the crashing constantly during matches is very frustrating and makes me not wanna play anymore that day. This is especially frustrating when I am playing ranked matches. Also, when upgrading units, I constantly get a loading wheel/screen and have to close out the app entirely to go back into the game. Kind of funny that the loading wheel/screen works properly when developers present units to buy with real money, but other times it freezes when it doesn’t come to them making money. I’ve seen multiple reviews stating these issues. I feel like these issues should be fixed before moving onto different seasons. Gameplay wise, when I spawn in units such as the Japanese infantry from the commander perks they aren’t auto selected like when using points to buy them. I’ll spawn them in and try to move them but end up moving a currently selected unit. I have to go back to the base. Select them, then move them. Not a big issue but those precious moments of having to look away from what I am doing to select them, can cost you a fight or objective. Great game but still needs some tweaks.

Great CoH-style RTS!

The game has great, easy-to-understand gameplay. It's very reminiscent of Company of Heroes, and best of all, it's actually pretty exciting! I like how the game makes it so that no units are too overpowered; every unit has a downside, even the most heavily armored tanks can be easily defeated. The game also makes it harder for those who get more firepower, as their army consumes more supply and gives the other player a slight chance to deplete them of their supplies. Another feature the game has is to style the deck according to your playstyle. Want to decimate infantry? Place some MGs, light armor, and artillery on your deck. Want to rush B harder than the Soviets? Make your deck the cheapest and spacious deck possible. The game's decks provides a lot of versatility for people who want to try different strategies. TL;DR: Great game, plays like the average RTS and has versatile cards for you to place.

Good Mechanics, but Pay-to-win

This game earns 3 stars for me due solely to the mechanics side of things. The game has just enough depth for a mobile game to make it interesting, but not too complex with limited mobile controls. It can be competitive at the higher ratings. If the game didn’t have good mechanics and playability, it would be a 1 star review for me due to the fact that the game is pay-to-win. You can directly level your units in-game that impacts your online matches, giving your units more health, damage, etc, by paying insanely overpriced amounts to buy levels for units. On top of the pay-to-win model. The price tag to buy the currency needed to level units is so overpriced. For example, to level one unit, the game would ask you to spend anywhere from $5-20, and much more for “legendary upgrades”, up to $50, for just one level. The max level a unit can get to is fifteen. So out of the dozens of unique units, just to level one of those units, one level, costs that much. You could spend hundred and hundreds of dollars, if not thousands, just to level your in-game virtual units. I could maybe wrap my head around $1-$5 for an upgrade, but $50, for one unit is laughable. For this reason, I can’t give the game a better rating. If the developers come to their senses and lower their pricing model significantly and give more ways to earn currencies without paying absurd amounts of real money, this game would have SO many more players and be so much better. The game is also so hard to find a match, and if you don’t find a real players within two minutes, it matches you up against a brain dead bot, that is just not fun to play against.
