I have really been disappointed by games in the mac app store to the point where I had almost given up on the idea of playing a game on here. It's the pandemic and I am bored out of my mind so I figured i would gamble on another game here. It is fantastic! And by fanstastic I mean it actually works! 5 stars because a game works. I know that is terrible but it is the sad truth with this app store. hey, apple, maybe you should put some work in here...update 1: Since starting this game I added the LG 5k monitor sold in the apple store paired with my 2020 macbook air. The macbook has all the top options for processor (i7) and RAM (16GB). I just want to say that while this definitly makes the game even better to play (now on a 27 inch monitor as opposed to the 13 inch monitor on the laptop) it really can only run at about 2k resolution (is that a thing?). Which is disapointing because when I select the 5k option the game does look absolutely beautiful. It is just so choppy that is becomes not fun. I am hopeful that apple will get a new black magic egpu out so I can attempt to solve this problem. But I do wish there was more info here in the app store about what resolution can be supported given various mac models. Like a simple table seems like it could communicate all of this. Why do I need to play around with all the settings here to see what works when I am using one of just a few macbook options. Any way... still 5 stars. The game is fun and most importatnly is actualyl playable on a mac.

My gamer friends have been wanting me (non-gamer) to play this game for so long and so far it’s been great! I am not very far in, but I’m hooked! I was weary at first because of all the reviews about courser problems, but I play on an M1 MacBook Air (using the trackpad) and everything has been working just fine! One time the cursor went invisible, but I restarted once and it was fine. This was so worth it since at the time of buying, this game was $10 on App Store, but $40 on Steam. Highly recommend! Great writing! Great laughs!

Running the game in 14.1.2 on a M1 MacBook Pro, with a Studio Display. The game had been a bit buggy in recent months, but Game Mode in 14.1 seems to have smoothed it out significantly. I'm studying this game for an academic paper and switching back and forth between Ulysses and Disco is now very very smooth. Under 14.0 and even later iterations of MacOS 13, the mouse pointer would often disappear, making the game very hard to play. Great to be able to play one of my all time fav games again.

This is the best new game I have played in the last 10 years, and I think it will likely join Morrowind and Arcanum in the elite group of games I constantly replay.Truly a work of art -- complex, atmospheric, filled with lore -- but it's also just a fun game to play. There are a crazy amount of different roleplaying options and paths to take, as well as a lot of humor throughout. Can't say enough good stuff about it.
Fixed an issue where the "Continue" option does not become available at the end of cutscenes.
