The BARF App: Raw Feeding
Raw dog food plan & calculator
Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
New in 2.0: a completely new design, weight goals with a weigh-in reminder, nutrition facts for every component — and eleven languages.
The BARF App builds a balanced raw feeding plan for your dog in minutes – day by day, in grams or ounces, for the whole week.
BARF stands for Biologically Appropriate Raw Food: muscle meat, offal, tripe, raw bones, fish, fruit and vegetables, fed in the ratio a dog's prey would provide. The app works out that ratio for you, based on your dog's weight, age, activity level and feeding days. No spreadsheet, no guesswork.
YOUR RAW FEEDING PLAN
• A Monday-to-Sunday plan with the exact amount of every component
• Every share adjustable: muscle meat, tripe, offal, raw bones, fruit, vegetables
• More than 110 food components in 8 categories, each with nutrition facts and a recommended share
• Custom additives and supplements on their own schedule – daily, weekly or your own rhythm
• Export the raw diet plan as a PDF to print or share
• As many dog profiles as you like, made for multi-dog households
PUPPIES AND WEIGHT GOALS
• Puppies: portions grow with them, calculated from date of birth and expected adult weight
• Lose, gain or maintain weight, with a target weight and adjustable intensity
• Weigh-in reminder: enter a new weight and the feeding plan recalculates instantly
TOOLS FOR EVERYDAY RAW FEEDING
• Shopping organizer: how much food for 7 or 14 days, totalled across all your dogs
• Fat calculator: how much fat a portion still needs to hit your target fat content
• Sea weed calculator: the daily dose from iodine content and body weight
• Thawing reminder: a daily notification so the next portion defrosts in time
• Metric or imperial units – kilograms and grams, or pounds and ounces
WHY THE BARF APP
• No account, no sign-up: your dog's data stays on your device
• Works offline
• Available in eleven languages
• Built for phone and tablet

Please note: raw feeding advice in this app is no substitute for veterinary care. If your dog is ill, pregnant or has special needs, discuss the diet with your vet or a canine nutritionist.

• Better: if your dog eats three or four meals a day, the PDF plan now lists every meal, not just morning and evening.
• Smaller improvements.
