Honestly pretty stellar

I didn’t think that this app would be this good! I’m sure there are some hardcore power users out there who wish it did xyz. But honestly it tracks stuff easily, checks for VPN, allows searches from the app, automatically opens from popular sites, and has a nice clean easy to use esthetic.I really couldn’t ask for more! Good job to the creators, keep it running for a LONG time please!

Users beware!!! free is a trial version with limited features.

This app is not free. It downloads on your phone with limited functionality while it prompts to pay as soon as it is downloaded. Without stating clearly that it will start with limited functionality unless you pay for the subscription or just buy the app. This is morally wrong and should not be allowed to happen especially since this app is only a front end for the Synology NAS the user owns at their home. You will see a developer response that say something like “we are sorry you had this experience but we have to make money” which is very sneaky way of avoiding the core issue of this review. “Don’t hide the fact that this is a paid app that runs as a trial version when downloaded as free one.

Thank you for your feedback.DSLoad is fully usable without a subscription. The free version includes all core download management features, while only a few advanced features are reserved for Pro users. The subscription helps fund ongoing development, maintenance, and support. After more than 4 years of continuous updates, the app has reached its current level of quality thanks to users who choose to support the project.Of course, if the app does not meet your expectations, you can always use DSM’s web interface directly on your NAS.What I disagree with is the idea that this is “just a front-end.” Building, maintaining, updating, and supporting a polished native app over several years requires significant work and commitment, and I believe that effort deserves to be recognized.I hope you will reconsider the service in the future.Thomas

DSLoad Station has been well worth the subscription. The app works great, and the developer’s support is exceptional. When I had a login issue, he was incredibly patient and responsive, working through multiple emails to help. I truly appreciate his dedication. Rare to find such great support these days—highly recommend!

Thomas, thank you for your dedication! Your app is amazing. Please don’t get discouraged by people who expect it to be completely free; you absolutely deserve to be compensated for all the time and effort you put into it.I only have one request: could you please add more color options to Orange?

== Version 2.5 • iPhone Duo, Mac & reliability == • Support for iPhone Duo: the app fits both displays and follows the fold, with its buttons in the side bar and a compact Live Activity in the Dynamic Island. • Better layout on Mac: lists, settings and the browser address bar now fit the window. • Your Pro access turns back on by itself if it was lost, and Restore explains what to check when it finds no purchase. • Clearer sign-in errors: a short hint tells you what to check first. • Your tasks and VPN status refresh as soon as you come back to the app. • More reliable QuickConnect connection on mobile networks. • Fixed the VPN status sometimes shown as disconnected or not found by mistake. • Fixed the NAS temperature display, and crashes when saving to Photos and when searching on Mac. Thank you for your support and don't hesitate to contact me at contact@dsload.app!
