Nafilah is the daily companion for English-speaking Shia Muslims — a comprehensive guide to the duas, a'mal, and ziyarat of every day.
Features

Subhanallah this app is very useful but there’s one problem for me at least. For the Taqibat and everything else it’s in Arabic. I set it to English at first but it doesn’t show in English I don’t know why please fix this kindly. Thank you. EDIT I apologize I saw in the disclaimer thing that you haven’t added all of them.

Hi I absolutely love this app but I was wondering if you could allow users to change the color of the widgets. Thanks!
Developer Response You can change the color of the prayer times widget. Long press it until the menu shows up, then press “edit widget,” then you can choose your desired background color for the widget.

Please add English translations for the content for those of us who unfortunately don’t know the language

- Add Sunni calculation times. To view Sunni options, go to Settings > General and select “Show additional options.” Sunni prayer calculations will not appear in Settings > Prayer Times.
- Added temporary English/Arabic translations for all not-yet-translated texts. To view the AI-generated translations, highlight the Arabic text that you want translated, click on it, then click on “Translate.” Of course, this will not give the best translation, but it may sometimes be useful until I add actual translations for all texts.

Added English translation support for a’mal.
- Only the pinned prayers of the week have been translated now. More translations will be added in future updates.
- If you click on some narrators, it will show you the full chain.
- Bold words can be clicked. Clicking on one will scroll you to the Surah/Verse/Dua’s location at the bottom of the page.
- To see the original Arabic hadith, click the extra button on the top right, select “Translations,” then select “Arabic” for a’mal.
- Fixed issue where prayer notifications were not adjusting to daylight savings.
- Fixed issue where app language would not be selected in the initial setup pages.
- If your location is not selected in the app, nothing will appear on your prayer times widget. I have added a message on the widget to clarify that.

Added Favorites widget! Available in medium and large widget size. You can tap the individual boxes to take you directly to its page. Currently, it orders favorites by date selected, oldest first. Inshallah soon I will add the option to reorder it the way you want.

Prayer Times & Widget. The biggest update to Nafilah so far!
Prayer Times
- View all prayer times (along with sunrise and midnight) on the home page
- Adjust calculation method (default is Jafari)
- Adjust timing for individual prayers
- Adjust time format
- Turn on notifications for prayer times
- Change alarm type
- Change athan voice
iOS 14 Widget
- The first iOS app to include a prayer times widget!
- Place a small or medium sized prayer times widget on your home page by through the following steps (iOS 14 users only):
1. Make sure you have selected your location in Nafilah settings > location
2. Enter jiggle/edit mode on your home screen
3. Click the + on the top right
4. Select Nafilah
5. Select desired widget size
6. Place the widget on your home page
- You can customize the widget background color in Nafilah settings > appearance
Updated App Icon
- To be more uniform with the general iOS 14 design, the app icon has been inverted to use a colored background.
- It can be changed (or reverted to the previous style) in Nafilah settings > appearance
- Corners have been further rounded because who doesn’t like Mr. Normal?
- It’s easier to view other dates on the home page now. You can swipe from anywhere on the screen and see the magical floating arrow take you on a journey into the past or future. When you’re ready to end your journey (reset the date to today), lift up the magical floating arrow a bit until it changes to the calendar icon.
- If you have Arabic titles selected, but English app interface, home page a’mal and duas now show their Arabic names
- Now includes screenshot in email when reporting error in text
- Updated the menu when 3D touching a text’s cell before entering to the newer one that does not require 3D Touch devices
- Added ability to change app language through system settings
- Fixed issue where audio player would continue playing even after closing it
- Fixed issue where app would crash when giving access to location

Reader view menu additions:

• Download and listen to audio files for duas & ziyarat.
• Temporarily download audio file for dua by clicking the play button in the audio player. It will automatically be deleted once the audio player is closed.
• Permanently download audio file for dua by clicking the download button in the audio player. Manage downloaded files through settings.
• Automatically scroll text along with audio by clicking the arrow icon on the bottom right.

• Easily switch between a dua’s language through the menu in the reader view.
- Text Formatting
• Simplified the “Change font” and “Change text size” views by merging them into one.
