Essential Stalker is an app that allows the community to help each other know how much essentials are left in a supermarket or store. This will help people in staying home in case of no stock or finding small local businesses selling essentials.
The app allows each community member to update the stock of essentials such as toilet paper, sanitizers and sanitary pads ( check if there is a shortage). Many of these items are unavailable many times in the supermarket and by updating it we help each other in knowing the situation beforehand and decide accordingly. This will help to minimize the number of trips outside.
Secondly, App also allows small businesses to list themselves as many of them have items such as sanitizers however people don’t know since they were not previously selling them.
How it works
Each community member can update the stock status of essential items on their trip to the supermarket. Non-members are able to view the results so that more people can benefit from it. It will also show small businesses stocking such stock who previously didn’t, thereby helping local businesses.
The app is designed to be a tool in helping the community get together and help each other get the essentials that we all need.
