Magic 8 Ball: Talking Oracle
Decision maker, fortune teller
Free · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
Ask, shake — and hear what fate says, spoken aloud. Hand-written predictions in 14 languages, on iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Mac and Vision Pro.
Ask a question out loud. Shake your phone. The ball answers — and actually speaks it back to you, in your language.
The classic toy, rebuilt for iPhone, Apple Watch, Mac and Apple Vision Pro. Tap or shake, and a prediction appears on screen and is spoken aloud in a real voice. No accounts, no ads, no tracking, no connection required.
HOW IT WORKS
1. Think of your question — or ask it out loud, the app can prompt you first.
2. Tap the ball or shake your phone. On Apple Watch, tap or turn the Digital Crown.
3. Read your answer. Hear it spoken. Decide.
19 LANGUAGES, OUT LOUD
English · Español · Français · Deutsch · Italiano · Nederlands · Português (BR) · Polski · Latina · Русский · Українська · Български · Türkçe · 日本語 · 한국어 · 中文 · العربية · עברית · മലയാളം
Every prediction is written by hand in the language you choose — not machine-translated on the fly. Answers are spoken with the voices available on your device; Latin gets read with Italian phonetics, which is half the fun. Switch languages any time from Settings.
ALSO IN THE BALL
- Quotes mode — swap predictions for a library of 556 quotes when you want something to think about instead of a yes or no
- Shake to ask — no need to look at the screen
- Speak answers on or off, with a volume slider
- Classic sound effects you can mute
- Answer on launch — open the app and the ball has already spoken
- A dark interface designed to be readable in a dim room
EVERYWHERE YOU ARE
- iPhone and iPad
- Apple Watch — a full standalone app on your wrist
- Mac (Apple silicon)
- Apple Vision Pro
- App Clip — hand your phone to a friend and they can ask without installing anything
WHAT PEOPLE ACTUALLY USE IT FOR
Settling where to eat. Breaking a tie in a group chat. Deciding whether to send the text. Party games that go well beyond yes or no — assign your own meanings to the answers and you have a whole evening. Teaching kids a few words in a language they have never heard. Taking the weight of a small decision off your shoulders so you can just get on with the day.
PRIVACY, PLAINLY
No account. No sign-up. No analytics. No advertising. No data leaves your device — the app doesn't collect anything, and it works fully offline. You bought a magic ball, not a data pipeline.
Ask it something.
