I liked it. Maybe you will too. Very generous for beginners and not so for higher levels. Overall tho, very generous for both. Combat is a funky mix of that game “Super Hot” then mix that with a turn based strategy. Not a bad idea it works well, you can ether chose to run if you feel like u can’t handle a fight or if your bravely strike fast and hard without any issues. Tutorial wise: the tutorial isn’t terrible but it doesn’t teach the extras. It only teaches you the bare minimum the rest is up to you. Which I don’t mind but this game has a lot of stuff in it and the screen is a bit cluttered. It took me a couple actual irl hours to notice that weapons degrade if not constantly maintained. Is it P2W? Not really. Theres Gacha but not game breaking or OP gacha it’s just like new teammate gacha or I got a piece of bread or I got this pretty sword. For the record Teamates don’t actually determine if you win a fight or not. They do help you fight battles but if there also not constantly maintained they also will fail. Tho since there isn’t any pvp (at least that I’m aware.) I guess that doesn’t really matter. It’s all PVE. I spent a good amount of hours and I had the best available gear from both markets, NPCs and dungeons and pretty decent stuff but I still couldn’t steamroll enemies. Which means that this game is doing something right. So far so good. I’d hope to see what this game goes into the future. Both updates and content wise. Keep it up!
Much like the PC version

Having spent thousands of hours on the PC version of Elona, this is a real nice mobile version of the game with updated graphics, extended tutorial and improved quest tracker. I don’t find this game as pay to win because I’ve had a built a very strong solo character in the PC version and can probably expect that with the mobile version. The start can be very brutal because you’re most likely going to be relying on fast allies and riding a fast ally such as a bike or if it’s possible in this version, a raptor. Hopefully living weapons are also a thing in this version. I’m also excited to experience rocks being thrown at me while playing poorly with instruments and having that instantly kill me which is a hilarious way to die. But enough rambling about Elona, this game is a must play if you like roguelikes and love continually building a character to become an unkillable machine. PS - there are different quality beds, cooking tools, etc that improve your success rates or skill levels at better rates, you can probably dig this information up on a wiki. Buy or find a fireproof blanket to avoid losing potions and scrolls. Always keep an item to help you escape from danger. The laser gun is a good bread and butter weapon if those exist in the mobile version. Dual wielding is great late game but needs a lot of skill levels to be useful early on.
Neat Gacha Dungeon Game

Here’s what it’s got going for it.-Good turn your brain off kind of game once you get through the rough learning curve. -You don’t need to pay to win/pay to have fun and the premium currency (diamonds) you get practically thrown at you for frequent playing. -Lots of events in-game to get free cosmetics, power up items, equipment, and even “pets” aka team member NPCs-Lots of stuff to do in game, quests, dailies, achievements. -It’s easy on the eyes with the art style and in-game the control buttons and hotbar are moveable and customizable. D-Pad/Joystick/Tap options, whichever you want. Only things to have a heads up for are…-Has a lot of players from Japan so it must be popular over there but there seems to be an English speaking community too. The online fan wiki in English is outdated but most of the important info is there. -Pretty big learning curve, throws a lot at you. If you can get through the beginning levels and push past some of the convoluted (or somewhat oddly translated) info it’s pretty neat and entertaining. -UI can be a bit unintuitive at times but I got used to it.That’s it, this game has thoroughly entertained me in my idle time though.
Clunky UI

I really want to like it. There aren’t many games like this for mobile. I am a huge fan of SDV and was looking for something with a similar feel. This isn’t it for me! It is waaay too talky! I hate that I can’t speed up the dialogue. I cannot, for the life of me, figure out where to save my progress. Is the beggar cave my house? How do you craft? How do you farm? You can’t seem to decline quests—you automatically accept a new one as soon as you finish one. None of it is intuitive. For me, maybe because I haven’t gotten far enough into it, the game is more dungeon crawl/combat heavier than I wanted. There are some really good open-world, life-sim games for PC on the market but most haven’t translated well to mobile, if the devs even attempted it. SDV is one of the best examples of how to do it well. Not sure what the PC version of this game is like but it is not great on mobile though I realize my opinion is contrary to the majority of users. The screenshots for this game in the app store make this look like something I would love but kind of like the Kairosoft games, it sadly misses the mark. Maybe I haven’t given it enough of a chance but games that need tutorials are the worst! If you need to walk me through your game and I still find it hard to navigate, that might be a sign. I play an inordinate number of similar games and most are pretty intuitive. I like cute, wholesome, cozy games in which my character doesn’t die and where I can choose the areas of the game to spend more time in. Also, a good game should grab your interest from the beginning. Even the app store description makes it sound like you have to work to build up your interest in this game.
