The Nembrini Audio 8180 Monster Tube Guitar Amplifier plugin is based on the Peavey 5150*.
From clear rhythm tones and powerful crunch to saturated leads, the 8180 delivers the aggressive, harmonically rich sound of heavy rock and metal. Shape your sound with pre-amplifier pedals, detailed cabinet and microphone mixing, third-party impulse responses, and post-amplifier effects.
Two channels with independent Pre Gain and Post Gain controls share a Low, Mid, and High equalizer.
- Rhythm channel: Shape clean and crunch tones with the Bright and Crunch switches.
- Lead channel: Dial in harmonic-rich rock tones and saturated metal leads.
- Power amplifier: Adjust Resonance and Presence, and choose 6L6 or EL34 power-amplifier tubes.
Key Features

- Amp tone shaping: Shared Low, Mid, and High equalization, plus Resonance and Presence controls and selectable 6L6 or EL34 power-amplifier tubes.
- Pre-Amplifier Stomp Effects: Noise Gate, Screamer, Filter, and Doubler. Drag the pedals to change their order in the signal chain.
- Cabinets & Microphones: Eight cabinet emulations, four microphone emulations, adjustable microphone position and distance, and a mixer for two microphones and ambience.
- Post-Amplifier Effects: Seven-band Equalizer with high-pass and low-pass filters, Delay-Reverb, and Studio Compressor. Drag the modules to change their routing order.
- Input & Output: Input and output level controls and meters, plus Fix Input, Mute, and Tuner controls.
Stomp Effects
- Noise Gate: Control unwanted noise with Threshold, Range, and Speed.
- Screamer: Shape overdrive with Drive, Tone, and Level.
- Filter: Tight cuts lows; Harsh reduces highs.
- Doubler: Add stereo width with detuning and dynamic offset controls. Mono keeps low frequencies centered.
Bypass pedals individually and drag them to reorder the signal chain.
Cabinets
- Cabinet Emulations: Choose from eight guitar cabinets.
- Microphone Emulations: Choose from four microphones for each of the two microphone channels, with on/off-axis selection and continuous Position and Distance controls.
- Mixer: Blend Mic 1, Mic 2, and Ambient channels with independent level, pan, phase, solo, and mute controls.
Post Effects
- Equalizer: Shape your tone with seven bands plus high-pass and low-pass filters.
- Delay: Create rhythmic echoes and spacious textures with flexible timing, feedback, tone, and mix controls.
- Reverb: Add space and ambience with Size, Tone, and Mix.
- Studio Compressor: Control dynamics with full compression controls and gain-reduction metering.
