If you've found a recognised word, the letters will flash green and your score will be increased! Further instructions on how to play can be found on the help pages by clicking on the help menu icon (?) from the main menu in-game! --WHY AM I SOMETIMES SEEING ADS?-- Wordbox depends on showing the occasional ad to help pay for server costs. There are many features that rely on connecting with our backend in order to work, such as logins, user data backups, multiplayer games, leaderboards, ranked high-scores and the daily challenges. The amount of ads shown will be at the lowest minimum required to make sure things are running smoothly. Keep in mind that making any direct contribution to the app, such as buying any item from the in-game store, will disable all ads forever. Thank you for your understanding and continued support!

Great game, but one small problem w/ daily challenge

Solid Boggle game without any major gimmicks, pay-to-win mechanics, or intrusive ads (there are ads for the free version, but they aren’t excessive like other mobile games). The only issue I have is with the daily challenge. It’s pretty clear to me that there are some people playing the daily challenge twice (it’s supposed to be a one-time game) resulting in some unnaturally high scores for the number of words found. I think they do it by playing on one account and then switching to another. Not sure if there’s a way to crack down on this, but would be nice if people played fair

4 Star gameplay - giving 5 stars for visibility and hopefully improvements in future.1. No intrusive ads2. Interface is confusing and it took awhile to figure out where ranked play is.3. High scores indicating past winners seems to be broken. Otherwise high scores are a nice feature.4. Gameplay is smooth but scoring needs consistency work as does word placement as many rounds there are ridiculously few words that can be formed overall.May review that says some people are getting super high scores either has been fixed or is a suboptimal player and mind jumps to cheating rather than that someone is that much better. Cheers to the devs - hope to see some positive changes in future!

Fix 1 week bug please

Setting the game duration to 1 week doesn’t work! The app restarts after I switch to other applications and come back to Wordbox. So my work is gone and new game starts up. It happens after a few minutes or a few hours, sometimes the same board is there when I return and sometimes it starts a new game board. I use the one week feature to eliminate the pressure of limited time to find words, I’d rather have it be a relaxing experience. Note that I am not shutting down the app, just switching to other apps. Otherwise the game is fun to play and I like the options that are unique to this game. I’ll be happy to upgrade my rating when this is fixed. Thanks

Better than some, still need improvement

Better than wordstacks, or the games where a set number of letters are given in a circle and 99% of the words found are “bonus.” This game offers three levels of finding words, 4 letters across/down, 5 letters or six. This game also offers different time limits to find words, and assigns scores similar to scrabble. It’s problematic in that sometimes there are many more consonants than vowels, and it can be very difficult trying to find words. It’s also odd that whenever a word *is* found, the game makes a ‘banging’ noise. There was a recent update where “5000 new words” were added. ‘Hue’ is a word, but this game doesn’t recognize it.

Hey, glad you're enjoying the game! To answer a few of your questions:1. The dice in Wordbox uses a letter distribution that will roughly imitate the frequency of letters in the english language, including the consonant to vowel ratio. This will greatly increases the likelihood of more words being available on the board. However since the dice rotations themselves are ultimately random, sometimes you might end up with a board that has more consonants than normal. This level of randomness is there on purpose, and ensures a vide variety of different boards. I personally very much enjoy hunting for words on more difficult boards, however if the board is not to your liking I've ensured there are no penalties for starting a new game with a different board.2. All audio can be disabled in the Options menu (cog wheel in top right when first entering the app). This sound effect simply confirms that a word has been found. That being said, I'll see if I can't make this particular sound a bit softer in a later update.3. Hmm that is odd, from what I can see 'hue' is indeed recognised. As an example, if you start a new local 4x4 game with seed 0121 5273 it should be possible to spell out 'hue' at the bottom of the board.
