The app itself is fine. It's lightweight and reasonably simple to setup. Once the price and number of shares owned are entered, the applet provides a summary of the current value (this is a useful feature). There are additional numbers that I imagine are the daily increase on holdings but that isn't very clear and I couldn't find any instructions that outline what all the numbers are. One major limitation of this app is that it doesn't have any cryptocurrencies at all. If I'm going to have to open the web browser for crypto, I might as well not use the app. This is going to limit the customer base unless addressed.

Good App, needs Improvements

I downloaded the add and loaded it on my iMac. Its a good app, small footprint in the menu bar and real time quotes. I do have several recommendations:1. Be able to pick which symbols will be displayed in the menu bar. I would like to see the major indicies in the menu bar but when opened, I can see my entire portfolio. 2. The ability to change the scroll speed. It should be made so the rate at which the symbols rotate through in the menu bar can be adjusted. It sems slow3. There are four preloaded indices. These can neither be modified or deleted. This should be a feature4. It does not show the futures market. After the close, it only shows the closing percentage.I think if these changes were made, this app would be great!!!

Menu Bar Perfection!

I’m not a pro stock broker. Just an everyday chick who’s stocking away extra cash in an ETF. But I’d like to do the stocking when the market has taken a dip. I attempted to configure IFTTT to notify me when Russ 2000 or S & P 500 declined more than 3%. But the service was often inconsistent, and I sometimes missed notifications if I not glued to my phone. Enter Uptick. It sits innocuously in my menu bar. Until I need it. As soon as the Russ 2000 or S & P 500 drop below a custom threshold, I’m notified where I spend most of my day... on my desktop. No more scheduling reminders to check stock prices. No more missed opportunities to make a purchase. Simple. Clean. Convenient. Couple this app with the developer’s incredibly responsive customer service and you’ve easily a 5 star app more than worthy of a buck a month.

Love this app. So nice to be able to control not only the list of stocks I'm following, but further specify which ones rotate visibly on the "ticker tape" at the top of screen. Very valuable. I also like that you can set up alerts for each stock. Wish they'd permit easy edit/redo/adjustments of alerts when they do get triggered, though. Wonderful app.
