I’m someone’s who’s life revolves around fashion and being stylish, but I have a closet with a lot of clothes I don’t know what to do with. I want to be stylish but I get overwhelmed everyday trying to pick out a good outfit from my little closet that’s busting out of its seams. This app allows me feel more free when picking out an outfit. It tells me how many clothes I actually have, allows me to schedule which days I wear what, takes out the background of my pictures for me, organizes everything, and sometimes generates actually good outfits. It lets me remember all that I have in my closet and exactly what things I need to donate or sell because I really don’t wear it. It got me wearing things that I forgot I had because it was stuffed in the back of my physical closet. And it allows you to look into other people for inspiration or style them yourself. You can even invite your friends and yall style each other. The only things I would say may needs work is the background remover becuase sometimes pics up things little things form the background but I understand it can’t be perfect, and I wish the platform that arranges our outfits together for our lookbooks was more versatile. I wish it had like a marker tool where I could write notes and I with it had like a layering system with a lock button because some times I’m trying to move a piece and something else moves instead. It’s a little annoying but that’s all. I love this app and will probably use it my whole life tbh.

I love the potential of this app to plan outfits and save them when the mood strikes, instead of futzing around trying to pull something cute together in the morning when you’re already running late for work. I also like that when I feel the urge to do some (unnecessary) online shopping, I can instead go to this app and find “new” outfits by putting together what I already own in new combos. That said, I have some suggestions/ feedback: uploading is pretty easy except sometimes glitches when uploading multiple items. The guesses Whering makes about the style and color of what you’ve uploaded are correct about 50% of the time and wildly wrong the other 50%. The biggest hope I have is for the shuffle wardrobe feature to let us say “pull together an outfit with boots, jumper, and a skirt” or “show me an outfit with jeans and a cardigan” instead of having to pin one particular pair of boots, skirt, or jumper. Maybe the shuffle feature could offer big random shuffles like now, but also more tailored shuffles, such as “cool weather rainy, for work” or “dressy business meeting.” That would be AMAZING. I paid to help the app develop bc it’s worth it to me to wear what I have in fun new ways. I’m personally not interested in the community or shopping aspects of Whering, which might not be what a developer wants to hear, but I think Whering is well worth a one-time fee (PLEASE no subscriptions!! Those are the WORST) to use it as a wardrobe suggester, planner, and Cher Horowitz-style “Dress Me” app. :)

I absolutely adore this app, it has made creating outfits so much easier for me and saves me time from running around in my closet trying to figure out what to wear. I also feel that it helps me become more creative with what pieces I put together since I can easily see everything I own in a consolidated space. The reason I chose this app opposed to others is for the clueless outfit randomizer and the fact that it’s free with NO ADS! For a few suggestions I think it would be nice to be able to copy outfits to be able to edit them easier. I often wear the same base pieces of outfits but change out my accessories each time, so it would be nice to to copy outfits and then be able to edit them without having to redo the entire thing (if that makes sense). In regards to the planner I wish that if you added a pre made outfit and decided to edit it later it would show up as a entirely new outfit in your wardrobe rather than just changing the original outfit. It would also be nice to be able to go in an edit parts out of the pictures ourselves if the auto background erasing doesn’t fully cut parts out. Overall I think the app is amazing for how newly established it is. I hope y’all are able to keep it free as long as y’all can, but if y’all do have to start charging please only do it as a flat fee, we do not need more subscription services.

Genuinely I cannot recommend this app enough to others. As someone who loves to be pre planed but also has major decision fatigue- this app has been a lifesaver. I use it daily to plan my outfits a week in advance (or when i’m really excited to plan for a future vacation!). Seeing all of my outfits and pieces in one piece allows me to make sure that everything in my closet has a purpose and i’m being as sustainable as I can. When shopping I can often stop myself from buying unnecessary things by looking in my app and seeing either very similar pieces already in my wardrobe or just realizing that the new piece won’t work with anything already in my wardrobe. Sometimes I’ll sit and just make outfits for fun and this saves me so much decision time later. A couple things I don’t think really work in this app are the social part because I would just be using it for inspiration and I often find better inspiration from Pinterest. I also think the outfit maker never chooses pieces that go together - but that’s okay because I like making the outfits myself so I don’t use that feature. All in all, all you have to do is bite the bullet one day and log everything and you’ll be forever grateful!
