Shin Dance 4+

Shin Dance Academy was founded by artistic director Shin Yue Wang, renowned for her brilliant performances on stage.

In January 2000 Ms. Wang made her public debut in the San Gabriel valley area, performing a celebration of Chinese cultural dance. The performance was a huge success with an oversold audience. Many new students enrolled after this performance and Shin Wang was in need of her own her own studio. It was in October 2001 that Shin Wang discovered a location where she could open a 3 studio facility located in Temple City, California. Since opening the studio Shin Dance Academy has been serving the community of Temple City and surrounding areas, expanding classes offered, from Chinese dance, Ballet & Zumba.

Ms. Wang uses the same approach to dance that has proven effective with university students in China and adapted that professional, systematic teaching style for Chinese-American dancers. Shin has generated scores of dancers with strong technical foundations and outstanding stage presence, which has elevated the art of Chinese cultural-dance in America.

The purpose is to create an atmosphere of creativity and artistic expression for everyone, from children to seniors. We strive to meet the needs of our students by building the kind of space that is safe, educational, inspiring, and nurturing. We pride ourselves in choosing a location that is local and easily accessible, making it possible for all those in our surrounding area to strengthen their minds and bodies.
