Physical Scanner Connect finds your scanner, scans your pages and gives you a searchable PDF to save or send.
WHAT YOU CAN DO
- Scan a letter, a contract or a form, and email it as a PDF.
- Scan a whole stack, front and back. Blank back sides are left out for you.
- Scan old family photos. Several at once, each saved as its own picture.
- Scan a receipt or a card on the glass. It is usually cropped to its edges.
- Search your PDFs for words later.
HOW IT WORKS
1. Open the app. It finds your scanner on your network or through a USB cable.
2. Put your pages in the feeder or on the glass, then click Scan.
3. Click Save to keep the PDF on your Mac, or Send to share it with Mail, Messages, AirDrop and more.
SCANNING PHOTOS
Choose Photos instead of Document. Put your photos face down on the glass with a finger's width between them, lay a sheet of dark paper over them, and click Scan. Each photo comes out as its own picture.
ONE-SIDED FEEDER?
Scan the fronts first. Then put the stack back in the feeder exactly as it came out, without turning it over, and click Scan Back Sides. The pages are put in the right order for you.
MADE TO BE EASY
- Your scanner is remembered, so next time you just click Scan.
- Color, paper size and quality are set for you. Click Options to change them.
- Pages of text scanned upside down or sideways are turned the right way up.
- Rotate, reorder or delete pages, and rename your scan, before you save.
- PDFs are kept small, so most scans are easy to email.
- Paper jam? The app tells you which sheet to put back and keeps the pages already scanned. Click Continue Scanning to pick up where it stopped.
- If you quit before saving, your pages are still there when you come back.
WORKS WITH
- Printers and scanners that can scan over your network. Some printers need network scanning turned on in their own settings.
- Scanners connected to your Mac with a USB cable. If Image Capture can use your scanner, so can this app.

But this was the most satisfying app experience I've ever had. Be aware, you have to spend 30 bucks to save files to your computer, and use the OCR feature, but that's a one time lifetime payment. But so worth every penny. Couldn't figure out how to connect my Mac to the scanner on my Brother printer and this amazing app hooked up to it immediately and scanned by documet all withing like 30 seconds. Brilliant execution. Would recommend.

I thought I bought this but apparently it downloads for free and only works once. It only works once with my wife’s ancient scanner but works very well. The Scanner is a Canon and still good. Just unsupported. The app seems to be the solution. So nothing against the app except you have to do a force quit between pages and start over. Fine, I suppose, if you are doing only a couple. My wife does a cajillion of these things so not good. I sent a message to the app’s support page. A human has not gotten back to me yet. I just want to pay for the silly thing so it will work and make my beloved all agiggle. If anyone knows how to make this happen here at the App Store, feel free to tell me. Anyway, 5 stars for the app, 1 star for the app company. I guess that’s a 3?
Misleading and poor function

Waste of $8...proceed at own caution. At first thought would be in luck. How quickly the problems began. Biggest issue is there are no drop down for options or anything. Just does what it wants to. I would get an error message but no way of knowing how to fix or to do anything different. There should be a free trial for few days or X amount of uses to test it out. But they know nobody would buy it then. I was forced to buy it so I could access my files and then when I did, and hit the button to merge the documents that they have so prominently displayed, you have to but THAT different program. Rip Off and disappointed. Worse when customer service doesn't respond to your first attempt to resovle issue nicely. Hence, here is my review finally. Nice going, you got me $8. But maybe others will look elsewhere in future.

I like writing reviews but there are some that I absoulutly love to review. This one is one of those this app for my Epson ET-5880 printer series was one of the most easy to use self explanatory apps I have ever used. Not only did it down load quickly but I was able to use it straight from download. Thanks you guys for making my life less complicated for at least one night.
