I have used a lot of methods to convert to WebP, and this is by far the easiest. This tool (paid version) allows me to set a max width OR height, which is excellent for handling landscape and portrait images in the same batch. Then, there's the auto-start feature which makes moving through the process a breeze, when paired with "save in original image folder". I just drop groups of files in to be optimized and its off to the races. Very quick conversion, and I have also found the compressed image sizes to be smaller than several other tools I have used like Squoosh or WebPShop (Photoshop).

UPDATE / IT STILL IS what I said in the title, and I use it at least once a day! Original review: I had 22 images I needed convert, which is why I searched Ai to see if I could get one for my Intel iMac in the first place. Be sure to have your folder for converted files selected, because this app It works like lightening!

Extremely noticible drop in quality

I'm trying to optimize an application but I noticed an extremely high drop in image quality when comparing the input to the output. Colors became subdued, edges were blurry, and everything become pixellated... this doesn't seem to be an issue with other .webp converters that I can find online, which is a shame because I need tons of files processed.
