We’ve reworked this feature to give you greater flexibility. Now, when exporting PDFs, you can use the "Formless" template to create a PDF entirely offline, without needing to consent to the use of any remote MonsterWriter server. - For everyone who opens their first document, we have a very short product tour to get to know the most important features. - We added a toolbar, which makes the most important features more obvious and easier to access. - We added a PDF preview that shows the PDF next to the export/template configuration. So you can preview the template configuration without downloading the PDF. - You can now insert to-dos in a document. There are two ways to do it. For short reminders, you can open the sidebar in any document and add them to the sidebar. If you want to write some more notes with your to-do, you can insert the to-do into the document itself. This is done by using the section type selector next to a new paragraph section or by simply writing „#do „ at the beginning of a paragraph (don’t forget the space after the #do). The to-dos will not be included in the exports. - You can now organize your documents using categories (tags). You can create categories and assign a document to one or more categories. You can also create sub-categories. What is unique about MonsterWriter is that a category can be a subcategory of more than one category. This provides you with limitless flexibility to keep you organized. - You can now export your document to docx and open it in Microsoft Word. - MonsterWriter now comes with a new template. Good news for everybody who wants to write an IEEE paper. - We also gave MonsterWriter a major facelift, and we hope you like it.

Thesis template produce less unexpected results when UTF-8 characters are used. This is done by using xelatex for PDF generation instead of pdflatex.
