Love the app, features, and community but half the time on my Iphone 17pro I go to record a take with the video recording tool it crashes. Upon re-opening app it doesn’t let me re-join meeting, and makes me pay the reader for the full session despite not completing the entirety of it. Please fix.

I love the idea of this app and it’s come in handy so many times as a working actor. But there are SO many glitches that sometimes makes my tapes unusable, which often means I have to pay my reader AGAIN to reshoot or has even sometimes meant that I couldn’t submit my self-tapes in time.For example, when I record my self-tape on the app, if I get a notification on my phone or if my reader refreshes their screen, it messes up the reader’s audio timing and it ends up playing with an extremely un-synced lag in the recorded video (but not during the session, so neither of us can tell that it’s ruined). My reader’s audio would play 10 or more seconds ahead or behind my own, sometimes even becoming a double-track that plays on top of itself. This makes the self-tape completely unusable as we end up talking over each other and the scene doesn’t make any sense at all.Other bugs/glitches: if I try to preview the recording before the session ends (usually to check to see if the above glitch happens), the app crashes. My readers often say there’s an echo on my end, which I’ve learned has to be fixed by plugging in and then removing my earphones. If I forget to stop the recording when the call ends, it doesn’t save at all. Sometimes I send a request to a reader (who I’ve worked with before so I have their contact info) and they say they don’t see my request at all.These glitches make it really difficult to use this app for me. At this point the only reason I’m staying is because I’ve built good professional relationships with my readers and I really like the work they do. I just have to say a prayer every time I try to record, because it often doesn’t work.

Weaudition is literally one of the best places to jump on instantly to have someone passionate who wants to read your scenes with you. My wife hates doing auditions with me, so I can easily jump on WA and find someone who is passionate and super helpful. I don’t mind paying the annual subscription and then compensating great readers for their help. As an actor I fully appreciate and understand the actor journey. This is an awesome community where I know I can go to find reliable readers whether for an audition taping or just rehearsal. Also it’s stellar on the road!!! Ty WA Team.

Love this concept… and like everyone else wished that I would have thought of it lol. It’s been incredibly convenient to book a reader at a moments notice. And its also been a lot of fun assisting other actors with their auditions (as a reader/coach). Most have been amazing humans, however, a couple have taken advantage of the system (and ME) and did not pay for the session. I have emailed support several times… ZERO response. Which is very disappointing. Clearly they are making money off of this concept. Investing some of it in I customer support would be great!
