Effective, but also need improvements

The subscription is not expensive and there is no bandwidth or traffic limit. That already makes it a good VPN product.

The Windows beta client almost never connects although the Chrome extension on the same device works without a problem. The PAC-like rule is handy, what it is now might be enough for browser but to be a global VPN, there is so much left to be done. The software really lags when you import a huge list which commonly works smoothly with a personally built socks server.

I know China is not one of the regular places when judging a VPN. AdGuard VPN had been functioning properly a while ago but is getting less and less stable. It is common to see no available locations now. On Windows, I have a fallback v2ray server (based on completely free VPS, domain name, nat64 and CDN, so it not not going to be very reliable) which also helps it to connect to AdGuard servers. However on iOS, VPNs mostly cannot live together so the trick cannot be done and I haven’t figured out a walk-around.

In particular, there were problems in China a couple of days ago, but we are trying to fix the situation very quickly.

Integration made easy

The concept behind AdGuard is great. Content blocker, DNS, VPN.

I will write this review and give an honest review. My review is also based on some what top tier internet speeds. So, I will get that out of the way. With the VPN connected and DNS-over-HTTPS I experience no speed issues what so ever on WiFi. Of course, mobile it’s not as smooth depending on location but that’s normal.

Using the general, privacy, and security content blocks along with the DNS, and VPN I’m able to easily navigate through Safari without issue and apps like Reddit. More personal apps like banking I have to turn off the dns which is quick and easy to do.

If you need a per device privacy solution this is it. All three solutions made simple.

Please note browser fingerprinting does skew the whole “privacy” concept. So do some research and see how it applies to Safari and iOS.

With that said I do have to point out that AdGuard is a closed source company. Like most VPN providers. Though, there is no reason not to truth them. However, the idea of trusting one company to safe guard all of your privacy is always a tough pill to swallow. Though, AdGuard does pass all of the tests and says the right things. They really do offer the perfect solution.

Connection stability - Incredibly slow - App looks good, Ninja characterer’s aesthetics

It pains me to give this app such a low review because I know, given some the time, these adGuard devs will knock this out of the park just like they did with their other products! So long as Apple can mind their own and not pull any of their weird stuff.

However, it’s just not quite there in its current state. And I’d be very hard pressed to pay for the premium at this point in time. It seemed to be rolling pretty well but something was causing it to frequently get disconnected then connect again and so on and so forth. Which may have been causing the other issue of when it was able to get connected it was at extremely slow speeds and and sometimes unloaded and I had to get rid of it for now.!

But I will be waiting on to come back and change this review once it’s where we expect it to be, in due time! Because as I mentioned, the app itself it’s looks very good!! I think it’s even cleaner looking than the original app(s). Which are vanity amazing! . The difference imo is the new face of the app. The ninja very cool footing backgtound . All I can say is I can’t wait to be back when she’s really ready to rock
