Markdown, included. Open a .md file and Podlite treats it as its own: the editor highlights Markdown, the preview renders Markdown, and a double-click or a drop opens it. Markdown is part of Podlite, so this is the same editor, not a separate mode. Highlighting now reads the whole document instead of one line at a time. Every markup code gets its colour, a section name reads apart from a block name you brought in yourself, settings inside a fenced code block are coloured, and hidden content shows as a covered strip that opens when the caret reaches it. Also in this release: - A block that fails to render no longer blanks the preview. It degrades to a small placeholder and the rest of the page stays. - Contextual links, entity codes inside inline code, and a table written inside a cell now render. - The =set directive is recognised.

Patch release. Update recommended. • =boundary directive no longer crashes the live preview. The bare directive, =boundary Text, and =boundary :caption(…) all render correctly. • =Mermaid diagrams render again on the current mermaid release. The diagram plugin moved off deprecated callback APIs. • Bundled runtime security update: closes one critical and five high-severity advisories in Electron, the auto-updater, and the bundler.

Patch release fixing a JavaScript-error dialog that appeared when opening files. The previous version's external-edit watcher failed with a permission error on sandboxed paths (including iCloud Drive). It now disables auto-reload for that document and continues silently.

Version 0.8.0 brings image drag-and-drop, live =include preview, and stricter rendering of =config defaults. New • Drop an image from Finder or paste with Cmd+V. The file lands in a media folder next to your document and an =picture line appears at the cursor. • =include resolves in the live preview. Edit an included file from anywhere and the preview refreshes. • Glob patterns like file:**/*.podlite expand against the document's directory. • :numbered headings render as 1, 1.1, 1.2.3. Set =config head1 :numbered once and every heading numbers itself. • :folded on a heading folds the whole section, including headings inside =begin nested, =defn, and other containers. • Editor highlighter knows =TITLE, =NAME, =Diagram and the v2.0 spec blocks: =row, =cell, =data-table, =boundary, =set. Fixed • Opening a file from Finder no longer leaves an extra empty window behind. • File → Open opens the new file in a fresh window. Empty untitled windows still load the file in place. • Cmd+S on an untitled document opens Save As. • =picture renders correctly in the live preview pane. • Files edited externally — IDE autosave, sync tools, atomic writes — reload cleanly. • Faster scrolling and lower memory; IPC listeners attach once per mount.
