The latest version contains bug fixes and performance improvements.

In this release you can create accounts for those not quite ready to join. We call them Shadow accounts. You can also create accounts for your lovely pets so you don't forget those beautiful moments with them. Our playful "KinPics" are already available for those users that do not have a profile picture set. Guess who is who in the Storyline! We have also updated the Members menu. The admins of the Space now have more control.

We found a few little bugs, so we fixed them.

We are making Kin FREE for anyone who registers and creates a Space in 2022. So in this release we have removed the need for a subscription. If you sign up now to create a Space you will receive 5GB of storage free forever (that’s about 5K photos!). Existing users will also receive this offer via email in the coming days.

In this release you will find Kinbot popping up on your toolbar. Tap it to open the Discovery screen where Kinbot will help you make the most of Kin, and keep you updated on upcoming features.

Sometimes nothing says it quite like an emoji. You can now like, love, laugh and celebrate with your Kin spaces using our very own emoji set. There are also crying and angry emojis, but we hope you don’t need to use them too often. You can also now share and click on links in Chat.

We've added the ability to redeem subscription offer codes within the App.

You can now scroll through images and videos in full screen without having to go back to the original post or message. We’ve also fixed a few bugs and added some touches to Chat, like making it easy to scroll to the latest message.

There are some big changes in this release. Firstly, we have upgraded our chat function with a new design, and the ability to send multiple images and videos with captions. We have also made it far simpler and easier to invite people to a Kin space, by sharing a single universal code via any means you want.

It's now easier and quicker to switch between your Spaces and manage your Space from any area of the app. If you are a subscriber, you can now track data usage from the updated Account menu.

Fixed some minor bugs

Are you someone who rushes to comment on a post only to read it back and find embarrassing mistakes? We’ve got your back. You can now edit or delete comments you make on posts, so there’s no excuse not to get involved in the discussion.

In this release we continue our role out of our new branding.

In this release we’ve made it easier to grant the little ones in your Kin space who have a Young Persons Account access to a full Kin account when they turn 13, with a simple invite. We’ve also banished a few gremlins.

Let’s face it, only being able to share one image or video at a time can be a little frustrating. That’s why in this release we’ve introduced the ability to share multiple media items in your posts - 9 of them in fact! No more agonising over which images and videos to post...just share them all. We’ve also enabled profile updates. You can now update your profile information and family admins can update Memorial and Young Person profile details.

We've improved the Future! This release introduces a whole new area to the app that allows you to create and manage your outgoing Future Messages. We've also decluttered your inbox with incoming Future Messages now delivered to your existing chats. Future Posts are here! You can now create Future Posts to be delivered to the Storyline at a date and time of your choosing. Create your family's future content, today!

We are constantly working to improve your Kin experience. In this release we have made some performance improvements and fixed some bugs.

Our latest update makes it even easier for you to share special moments with the ones you love. You can now upload photos and videos to Kin directly from other apps, and receive push notifications so you never miss out on the important moments captured on Kin. Additionally, because we know that things change, we have made it possible to update your Kin family name should you wish to do so.
