Zurich has more magic to offer with the Hightime city tour. Discover the city and enjoy augmented reality (AR) art and entertainment as you do so. Six short themed walks show you the town through the eyes of different Zurich characters, with maps and tips for things to see and do as you go. Let Hightime’s animated 3D AR characters be your guides. Snap a photo of yourself with them anywhere on the walks. By viewing the city from all the characters’ different perspectives, the Hightime city tour reveals the artful essence of Zurich.
Hightime’s centrepiece is a Zurich Glockenspiel parade video in three dimensional augmented reality. On your tour, watch the Zurich characters join the parade and perform from different perspectives; get a 360 degree view of the musical drama. Choose where you want the Hightime Glockenspiel to play and set the stage for your own unique performance against the background of Zurich’s imposing old city buildings. In the Glockenspiel parade you’ll find all our typical Zurich characters appearing first at work and then at play. They are all performing together with the 'Züri Leu', the city emblem lion, in and around a landmark Zurich clocktower. At work, the characters are a luxury goods salesman (the Dandy), a financial Trader, a Swiss Cook, and a Roadworker. They're battling to overcome tricky challenges for the city – can you work out what they are? Then, they have fun and, at play, they become a Raver at the Zurich Street Parade, a Beachgirl going swimming in the lake, a Guildsman at the Sechseläuten and a competitive Rower. This is Zurich so we even have a performing Dog.
The Zurich characters in the parade and inspiring the walks are all city experts and if you follow their individual routes on Hightime’s maps, you’ll get a guide to many different aspects of Zurich: luxury goods, financial services, traditional Swiss restaurants, roadworks (a Zurich specialty), the Street Parade, summer swimming, the Zurich guilds and guild houses, walking the dog, and getting out on the lake. On the all-in-one Hightime Zurich Tour you’ll also see the traditional Zurich landmarks that decorate the Hightime Clocktower in the Glockenspiel and a selection of the most attractive Zurich lions too.
