Beat your best scores in Neon Beats, a 2D platformer game with rhythm based levels! You just entered an abstract world and embody a cube moving on a white line. A relaxing and catchy music starts to play along with colourful shining neon lights all around. Your first jump, not so difficult, is followed by a swing above sharp spikes and a slide down to the depth. Deeper you progress in the levels, harder the challenges become. Quickly, the rhythm is accelerating. Your superlanding on the ground triggers an exciting music drop, and a killing wall starts chasing you. The only way to survive is to run. A boost makes your speed increase drastically and the finish line is only a few jumps away. You dodge a first spike, get bumped over a second, and perform the perfect jump to the end. The trajectory seems to be ideal, until you fall down into killing spikes... Now, you can restart. And restart again. Until you get the world record! In Neon Beats, you will find: • 9 different levels with its own music • Rhythm based gameplay • A character with smooth and responsive controls • Simple and elegant neon ambiance • Several challenging level elements • Hidden collectibles adding instruments to the music • A score system based on your time, collectibles and deaths

Fun but too short.

I think this game has a lot of potential, however, it is way too short. I beat all 8 levels + the tutorial (which is listed as a level) and in total spent about 30 minutes playing it. For a 3 dollar game, that’s about 10 minutes for every dollar spent. I understand that you can replay the levels and beg higher scores, however, it’s still very short. Some suggestions to make the game lengthier would definitely be to add a level editor where you can make your own levels (kinda like Geometry Dash) or just make more levels. I also think you should add a little tab where you can see progress on the game and when new levels are planned to release (just in case new levels are coming and I’m just an impatient idiot). Besides that, I think that this was a very fun experience and I hope to see more from it in the future. Thanks.

Some bugs

Hi i wanted to mention some bugs that I’ve come across while playing the game (love the game by the way) but some of the bugs would be while I’m jumping from one platform to next i will encounter an invisible wall and i will hit the spikes cause i fall from the invisible wall it’s not always but i think it’s the controls that’s cause the bug because when i go one direction it will go the other way even though I’m still heading in the direction I was able to beat the game and find all the musical notes but i just die a bit more often but overall very well put together game. Oh and not to mention there are no ads i love it. Some games you pay and you still gotta watch ads. Would be great to have a very large update with a large amount of levels or a similar game that’s completely 3D and not a 2d side scroller game. Anyways hope you have a great day.

I enjoy the music and mechanics of the game but if you could please fix the bug where when moving left or right you, if you drag your finger too far, you’ll be sent the opposite direction, it’s annoying but I like this game, it’d easily be 5 stars if the mechanics were fixed better. This game will quickly make you get addicted to the gameplay and this comes from a guy who never plays games on an iPhone. It is a lot of fun and if you enjoy it I highly recommend you also play the 140 video game which is about the same as this one. I would prefer if the developers used other darker electronic music which would resemble 140 but I completely understand why they went the route they chose. All in all, great game, highly recommend.
