I have never left an app review before. But I am proud to make this my first. I have a SmugMug account with like 1.6 GB of data, both photos and videos, in roughly 2,200 folders or "galleries". I want to close my SmugMug account because it is getting too expensive for me. (additionally, I'm not a pro photographer). I can't believe they expected me to Download all my data incrumentally and then just providing a zip link to the download. Not acceptable for an software application of that caliber. I get why they do it, to try to deter people from deleteing and closing their accounts, but it does not make sense from a positive customer experience in my opinion. I downloaded SMUDO and it downloaded ALL MY DATA in the correct folders with NO ERRORS!! It saved me HOURS of time and frustration. I would have gladly paid double the price of this app. Highly recommend. To the app creators, thank you so much for making this solution!!!!

I don't write a lot of reviews. I have over 10K folders stored on SmugMug and a little less than 1 TB of photos/videos. I asked the heroes and they suggested only an expensive option that I had to babysit (the other program kept crashing). Then I found Smudo in the app store. The early versions didn't work but the developer took my error messages and created a working back up mehtod that looked elegant in the process. There were about 100 errors but at the end there is a screen to either fix them automatically or download a file to manually back up (which was not needed.) Highly reccommend this program and the developer.

Smudo is easily one of the most useful apps I’ve come across on macOS! As someone who relies on SmugMug for photo storage and sharing, this app fills a gap I didn’t realize could be solved so seamlessly.The developer is incredibly responsive and genuinely cares about user feedback. You can tell this app was created with a deep understanding of SmugMug users’ needs, and it continues to evolve in all the right ways.Apps like Smudo are what make macOS stand out as a platform. It’s a perfect blend of functionality, simplicity, and thoughtful design.

Unable to download anything on latest MacOS. Spinning wheel of death and crash. Hope I can get a refund!EDIT: I had too many galleries selected. I'm trying to migrate off Smugmug and had 360gb of files. That may have hit the limit of Smudo's abilities. It's now working if I download in smaller batches.
