Lovely Little Browser To Get "Rid" Of Annoying Ads.

The browser itself is really good in terms of "Blocking" ads. The annoying thing is it doesn't really block them. You have to refresh the page in order for it to take affect. The other thing I might add is PLEASE add Video Pop Up so we can multi task while the video is playing.

It’s not as effective as the Brave Browser, but clears out about 95% of ads in my estimation. On the downside it leaves the ad place holders intact so it’s definitely not a seemless ad block browser. Another negative is that I get one of those pop ups periodically from a particular website asking me if I want to continue blocking ads, which is a little frustrating. I don’t have any of these issues with the other aforementioned ad block browser. On the plus, side it does remove about 95% of ads and pop ups, so you’re cell phone battery life is not being constantly drained by unwanted video ads. Compared to Safari, the Halt browser is a marvel. Once Halt cleans up the few issues I’ve noted above it will be a top notch go-to browser that you’ll want to set as your default browser.

The halt scam

Halt may be free to use at the expense of all your personal data including all usernames and passwords. Download the app called “lockdown” once running, open halt and you will see all the “tracking ads” that were blocked by lockdown. Use halt some more, do some browsing around and you will see more tracking ads being blocked by lockdown. After installation of “halt” during first setup, without ever visiting one page. Lockdown blocked 38 tracking ads from halt alone. (Without visiting any website) the main players in web browsers don’t even have 1 ad tracker within their app.
