You can add audio files to your ListenBook library from:
• the Files app and other document providers;
• your computer over Wi-Fi;
• Finder / iTunes File Sharing;
• WebDAV servers;
• direct HTTP/HTTPS download links that you provide.
Files imported or downloaded this way are stored in your personal ListenBook library for local playback.
ListenBook does not provide a catalog or search service for unauthorized copyrighted media and does not provide tools for sharing or redistributing downloaded files. Users should only import or download content that they own or have permission to access.
For free audiobooks, ListenBook also includes integration with LibriVox.org, providing access to tens of thousands of public-domain audiobooks.

I love this dev’s previous app, MP3 Book Player, and was surprised that they made a new app. But I suppose there’s only so much you can do to upgrade an engine before you decide it’s just better to start a new one from scratch. I love the new audio features, and I can’t imagine life without them now. This is the only app I will use for audiobooks from now on. I haven’t used it for music yet. The only thing that is missing is syncing across devices. I have this on my iPad, but even with iCloud backup sync turned on, I had to airdrop the book to my iPhone, add it to my phone’s library and find the same position I was in earlier. I imagine that if I want to listen on my iPad again I’ll have to search for my “page” all over again. It also means I have to rebuild my library on each new app. It should have a folder in iCloud to sync to all devices from.
Don’t use data or gigabytes in the app

Stop using gigabytes on the listening book app. You’re draining a lot of people data and gigs and overheating them and the battery draining system in your app. If you don’t get rid of it now if you don’t get rid of the gigabytes now nobody’s gonna buy your freaking listeningbook audiobook player

I purchased ListenBook Pro and find the app very useful, with an elegant and well-designed interface. Not getting 5 stars due to a few glaring bugs that should be fixed: 1) the search function does not work (after typing the first character the keyboard hides itself) 2) the button located below the Play button does not work (I assume its function is to override “dark mode” system settings, but cannot tell for sure since this is not documented in the Help section which, by the way, pertains to a different app, i.e. MP3 Audiobook Player). Finally, it would be useful to be able to relocate book icons in the main window by long pressing and dragging them to a new position, as well as being able to manage files via the Files app. Hopefully, the developer will add these features soon.

This sounded like exactly what I was looking for, a simple, streamlined way to play my audiobooks. Unfortunately, there was no indication before purchase that it would not play audiobooks already on my device. Lots of ways to import audiobooks into the app, none of which would work for me. I have a few hundred audiobooks already on my iPod touch, which I had to download directly from Audible. iTunes, Copytrans etc., wouldn’t import them to my iPod, even though I purchased and owned all of them. I was hoping this app would let me play them outside audible. It doesn’t, and a request sent to the app creator seeking a way to use this app has gone unanswered. Seems like a very nice app if you want to import your books into the app the way the app wants you to, but if you’re looking for a clean, unbloated app to simply play audiobooks already on your device, this isn’t it.
