Rebuilt from the ground up: instant response, 18 moods, and lessons that adapt to how you play. Ever wanted to play an instrument without spending months before it sounds like music? The kalimba is the rare one you can enjoy on day one — and this is a kalimba that lives in your pocket. Most kalimba apps are a grid of buttons playing back recordings. This one builds every note the moment you touch it. Slide your thumb across the tines and you get a real glissando. Press near the tip and it rings louder than near the bridge — the way a real instrument answers your hand. WHAT'S INSIDE • 18 moods, each with its own tuning, tone and artwork • Guided lessons where the notes fall onto the tines you play • Tempo that adapts — faster when you're confident, slower when you're not • Practice mode forgives; Exam mode scores you from one to three stars • 8 sound engines, from bright bell to deep bronze • Reverb and delay, from dry to cathedral • Record what you play, keep it and share it — no microphone needed • Loop recorder: lay down a pattern and play over yourself • 5 to 25 tines, in any key and any scale CAN'T READ SHEET MUSIC? You don't need to. Numbers sit on the tines, circles fall onto the one you play next. You learn a song by playing it, not by studying it. Everything runs on your device. So, I was hoping that the only rating for this app was wrong, but I was mistaken. Yup, you have to pay to even access the content of the app. I would have liked a free version ( NOTHING to do with the subscription or trial) to see what was on the app. I had high hopes for this one and clearly I was wrong. Very disappointed.

Developer Response
Hello ~LuckyLaurel~, and thank you for your honest feedback — and apologies for replying so long after you wrote it.We'd like to clear up the confusion: Kalimba has always had free content — free melodies and free kalimba settings are available without any subscription. When a purchase screen appears, you can simply tap "continue with limited version" to keep using the app for free. We never lock the whole app behind a subscription. That said, we've heard you. Version 5.0, released just recently, is a complete redesign of the app — a new engine and a new interface — and we've made the free experience clearer and more welcoming, so you can properly explore what's inside before deciding on anything. We'd love for you to give the new version a try. If anything is unclear, write to us at castles.trip.spprt@gmail.com.Best regards, Stanislav Duplinskiy

Version 5.0 is a complete rebuild from the ground up. • Rewritten natively — instant response, no more lag • Guided lessons with adaptive tempo, practice and exam modes • 18 moods, each with its own tuning, sound and artwork • Real glissando — slide across the tines and every one sounds • Touch position controls volume, like a real kalimba • Loop recorder — play over your own patterns • Redesigned from scratch

Version 5.0.1 Sep 12
