Description

Technology for your mind.

Close your eyes and breathe.

There are no talking voices in this app. Instead, choose from a selection of background sounds to compliment your sessions such as Binaural Beats, Ocean, Stream, River, Waves, Silence. You'll be greeted by thoughtfully curated motivational quotes at the beginning and end of every session. Pulse is also color blind friendly.

You can use Pulse in normal mode where you choose the length of your sessions or in progression mode where Pulse chooses the length of your sessions.

Meditating for long sessions can be a daunting task. Pulse helps you reach your meditation goals by progressively increment each of your sessions. Set an easy starting duration, a goal duration, and let Pulse figure out the rest.

My name is Dickson, the creator of Pulse. I created this app to explore how mindfulness can inform my design philosophy, enhance my creativity and general well-being. My journey into a daily meditation practice has helped me find much peace and joy and I hope my work, in some way, may help you find yours.

Leveled up my meditation

I don’t ordinarily write reviews but this app has changed my relationship to meditation and I wanted to share my experience. I’ve been a regular meditator for years now and as my practice has gotten more focused the other meditation apps just didn’t fit as well for me. At a certain point I outgrew “guidance” from spoken prompts in the multitude of various other apps. I also don’t want to pay for yet another monthly subscription. Pulse has changed all that. Progression mode makes it easy to do longer sessions and have helped me to improve my practice. I find myself sitting for longer and longer with more focus and less thoughts about time or the outside world. The overall design of the app is beautiful as well. Everything from the subtle animations to the numerous sound options. Even though I usually prefer silence when I meditate, I have found that the richness of pink noise and austere Tibetan bell to be very pleasant when I need a subtle aid in silencing the outside world. Overall one of my favorite apps that I use daily. I highly recommend Pulse if you’re looking for a focused, well designed app without yet another subscription.

Perfect for soothing introspection

Beautifully designed for a calming and reflective experience. The minimal design of the app paired with quotes tailored to each meditation allows for meaningful introspection. Unlike many other apps that include the added noise of a narrator, Pulse focuses exclusively on sounds found in nature, resulting in a more calming experience that you can engage in at any point in your day.
