Stack Tester’s Revision Friend Introduces Narrative Questions

Stack Testers Revision Friend is the latest addition to the suite of apps developed by the Engineers of CES Environmental Instruments, one of the UKs leading environmental Test Houses. The app has been developed as a revision aid to UK Stack Testers in their preparation for the Environment Agency’s MCERTS examinations.
The app provides an ever ready reference source for all the current Level 1, Level 2, TE1, TE2, TE3 & TE4 examinations. The revision is in the form of multiple choice and narrative questions, now providing a broader range of practice material to help you get through your MCERTS examinations. Test results are stored within the app and can be reviewed in the analytic section by a comprehensive progress chart showing the subject areas that need development.
The Useful Documents section contains information of the documents needed for examination revision and links to the up to date Method Implementation Documents (MIDs) and Technical Guidance Notes (TGNs) published by the Environment Agency.
There are links to web sites providing additional revision information and a helpful image gallery.

Stack Tester’s Revision Friend Introduces Narrative Questions
Our MCERTS Exam Revision App has helped many students prepare for their multiple-choice MCERTS examinations. After years of requests, we are now proud to introduce the all-new calculation-based narrative questions.
Narrative questions are now available for the Technical Endorsements 1-4 exams. The questions consist of multiple steps where you must calculate the answer for each, like the individual parts of the longer examinations you will sit.
Some new features include:
- A settings menu allowing users to switch between the well-known multiple-choice questions and the new narrative questions.
- A skip button that allows you to skip the current question and get a new one for the exam you’re revising for.
- A variables button which will allow you to view the variables needed to complete your calculations for each question step.
- Stuck on a particular question step? After 3 attempts, if you’re still struggling the app will allow you to skip that step, provide and answer and move onto the next step.
- Repeatability, we’ve designed the narrative questions in such a way that the variables change every time you attempt a question. This way you’ll never get the same answers twice allowing you to focus on grasping a deep understanding of the calculations you’re performing.
