Ping is a lightweight uptime monitor that runs entirely on your Mac. Track the status and speed of websites, APIs, servers, routers, IoT devices, or any network endpoint — with instant feedback in your menu bar and local notifications the moment something goes down.
Monitor everything, instantly
• Live status of all your endpoints, right in the menu bar
• HTTP, ICMP & TCP pinging, with full IPv6/IPv4 support
• Works offline with local devices — no internet required for LAN monitoring
• Mass-import URLs via CSV to get started in seconds
Know the moment something breaks
• Local notifications when a URL errors or becomes unreachable
• Configure webhooks to trigger emails, SMS, or other services when an endpoint fails
• Measure and set response-time thresholds to catch slow performance before it becomes an outage
Built for control
• Set custom ping intervals per URL
• Built-in response logging, or stream results straight to Terminal
• AppleScript support for custom workflows and automation
• Customize exactly what information is displayed
• No third-party servers — Ping connects directly to your endpoints, so your data never leaves your Mac
• Fully native app, built with performance and battery life in mind
Instead of relying on an external monitoring service, get notified the moment it matters — while you're already at your desk. Ideal for webmasters, DevOps engineers, network admins, stage managers, gamers, or anyone who wants a clear picture of their network's speed and reliability over time.

Fantastic App!

I love how simple and straightforward this is. It does exactly what I need it to do and took only five minutes to set up. The addition of webhook notifications allowed me to integrate it into my smart home and send notifications (Home Assistant). I would love if I could assign individual web hooks to EACH separate domain in a future release.
Neat App
MonitorZero
It really just does what you need it to do in order to monitor devices that need to always be up. 4 Star because it does need some more features to be worth the money. Such as scrolling down in the menu bar portion, creating different sites to put devices into groups, etc.. Other than that it works great but the price for functionality seems a little steep. Hopefully they keep working on the app.
Developer Response
Hi, the menu bar list does scroll. There is a setting that caps the number of items displayed that you can increase. Grouping is coming in the next version. Thank you.
Perfect

I have a long list of domains including ones that only forward, so the paid version is perfect to simply enter all of them and make sure they're all up and running. You can even choose which method is used, which is useful to me. Super simple, clean, and reassuring.
Great little app...

Really love this app. There's one small bug where it will ping sometimes in sleep mode for macbooks while the clamshell is closed. Not sure what this is but other than that it works awesome. Hopefully bug fix in the future.
Developer Response
Thanks! Should be improved now in the latest version
• NEW: Groups! Organize your sites into groups and see each group's status in the new sidebar. You can drag to reorder, turn a whole group on or off at once, and see your groups as sections in the menu bar.
• Status colors and column sorting in the logs
• New webhook variables: $NAME, $URL and $STATUS
• Added: File > Open Recent
• Ping now requires macOS 14 or later
