Every joy, remembered for life!
KKLOG is a keeping and breeding record app for stag and rhino beetles: weight, bloodlines, food changes and breeding memos, plus a built-in Raise & Battle Game.
Available in Japanese, English, Simplified and Traditional Chinese, Korean, Thai and Indonesian.
■ Keeping records
• Easy registration: species, sex and generation from lists, plus locality, length and photos; start from any stage, a wild catch or a purchase
• 13 log types: weight (charted for larvae), head width, container volume, food, notes
• Search by beetle ID; filter by species, stage or listing; hide deceased or transferred beetles
• Groups for each breeding room, shelf or greenhouse
• Food change alerts (“Food change in X days”, “Food change needed”) per species and instar; sort by the soonest due
• Breeding memos per pair or mated female: harvest records, offspring added at once with automatic IDs, bloodlines via parents, harvest reminders
• Schedule calendar of food change and harvest dates
• Reminders at a time you choose, at most once a day
• “Community beetles”: share and like beetles, follow other breeders and get notified of new followers
• Profile pie charts of your species (can be hidden)
• Listings: “Listed” beetles show in Community beetles and your profile (deals between users)
• Report inappropriate users from their profile; “?” on each tab for help
• Map of insect shops and events
• Cloud storage: log in with Apple, Google or email and carry on with a new phone; manage accounts in “Account settings”
■ Beetle labels
Print labels for your cases on A4 sheets (12 or 24) or share a PDF.
• Three built-in layouts, or drag fields into your own
• A label's QR code opens the beetle from the camera or “My beetles” search
• Start mid-sheet and fine-tune the “Print position”
■ Raise & Battle Game
On the “Game” tab, raise virtual beetles from eggs and battle with them. No real beetle is ever made to fight; see “How to play” for how it differs from real keeping.
• Three care bars: Food, Habitat and Energy. Size and a flawless finish are up to you; growth is far faster than in real life.
• A “Care bonus” makes well-kept beetles a little stronger, and big parents give their eggs a “Bloodline bonus” (game only).
• Rock-paper-scissors battles against forest beetles and guardians: each species has a strong move, length sets Power and weight HP. Level up to reach new forests.
• Eggs from wins and laying sets wait in the “Egg cup”. Start with a Japanese rhinoceros or saw stag beetle and meet the Hercules beetle and more.
• Hall of Fame for past beetles, and a “Beetle card” to show friends
• Real-time friendly matches with mutual followers (wins and losses only). Follow via “My QR”, or turn invitations off.
• Length rankings by species (breeders showing “Stats” and “Game records”)
• “Hibernation mode” pauses growth and the bars while you're away (game only)
• Notifications for hatching, eclosion and more
■ Widgets and Apple Watch
• Home and Lock Screen widgets on iPhone and iPad show your beetle; or pick “KKLOG (no image)”
• Apple Watch app (needs KKLOG on iPhone): care for the same beetle from your wrist, with a “KKLOG” complication
■ KKLOG Plus (auto-renewable subscription)
• Register and list unlimited beetles
• Unlimited groups and templates
• Unlimited saved label layouts
• Up to 50 HD photos per beetle
• Search Community beetles freely
• Your own ID and profile photo
• No ads (the app shows ads otherwise)
• In the game: two cases, 5 battles a day (not 3), more daily food, weekly items, and “Case battle” with family on one iPhone
Payment is charged to your Apple Account. The subscription renews automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Cancel anytime in “Subscriptions” in your Apple Account settings.
