If you end up paying a regular meal price to promote a casual restaurant then what is the point? I shouldn’t be paying to do a restaurant review. If the food is overpriced the amount they give you is useless especially if you have to leave a certain amount in tips. Nyc is expensive enough now I’m paying to work and promote a restaurant. They need better options and nicer restaurants because a lot of the time its not worth posting or doing a review then when you do you’re left paying anyway for mediocre food.

For example- the fastest way is just picking the most lucrative places on the app and visiting there among your available offers. Another way is to improve your content quality score to unlock premium, and that way you’ll unlock some of the most attractive offers Inplace has to offer. I really wanted to like this app. I think streamlining the link between influencers and venues is a good idea. But after having used it for a couple months for my restaurant, it was clear that the “influencers” were not well vetted, if at all. Being generous, I’d say 1/10 “collaborations” generated good, reusable content; 4/10 generated decent, but not reusable content; 5/10 were junk. The majority of the “influencers” were either rude or downright disrespectful to staff. And after scores of collaborations, and thousands of dollars spent, not one single person whom we asked said they found us because they saw a story or post from of one the InPlace influencers. It’s possible some of these influencers are legitimate, but the vast majority seemed like they found an easy way to get a free meal or drink for themselves and their friends in exchange for a perfunctory post or story, and that was the ONLY reason why they were on the platform.

Constant messaging/emails/texting/notificationsIt’s not an app for influencers/creators it feels purely for the restaurants and businesses & with the uncomfortable level of constant contact & “always leave location on” there’s no privacy & I sadly didn’t have a very happy experience on this app and was recommended via a friend but if you’re happy doing the absolute most & selling yourself short for a coffee & croissant it may be your go-to
