The current release of the MediVic Telemedicine Solution is targeted at users who would prefer consulting their health practitioner remotely. Users can search for a specialist in their prefered location and book a consulation session. Session reminders are created to alert the user and consulting practitioner of their upcoming consultation. The consultation is activated at the scheduled time and is enabled through secure video-converencing between the patient (user) and the practitioner (consultant). Sessions are paid for securely on the app using an authorized payment processing service vendor who is fully registered with South African authorities and the major card companies such as VISA and MasterCard. The practitioner can send a Medical Prescription script by selecting from a broad range of registered pharmarcies based on the patients' preferred collection location. Patient consultation diagnostic notes are securely stored on the system for retrieval by the practitioner in follow-up visits.
