Bowling Side Action
Bowling brackets & side pots
Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
Introductory pricing ends October 31, 2026 — $79.99 for your first year of Pro, or your first two months for $9.99.
Bowling Side Action runs your tournament side pots — brackets, eliminators, high game, mystery doubles, and mystery pots — so you can stop juggling paper and start the next squad on time.
DESIGNED FOR iPHONE DUO AND iPAD
On the iPhone Duo, fold the phone and the cover display becomes a live viewer for your event; unfold it for the full director app. On iPad you get the complete app on the big screen. Your events also follow you to any web browser at director.bowlingsideaction.com.
BOWLERS: FOLLOW LIVE ON ANY iPHONE
On every other iPhone the app is the live viewer. Type the five-character code from the director's poster (or scan the QR) and follow brackets, standings, and payouts between shots. No account needed.
BUILT FOR TOURNAMENT DIRECTORS
Set up an event in minutes: 3 to 6 games, any mix of side pots, handicap or scratch, each with its own entry fee and payouts.
BRACKETS
• 8-bowler and 16-bowler single-elimination brackets
• Run them forward (games 1-2-3) or reverse (3-2-1), starting on any game
• Smart generation fills brackets while avoiding repeat matchups
• Matchups advance automatically as scores come in — no locking, no re-entry
• The bracket summary shows every bowler how many brackets they're alive in and exactly who they're facing
ELIMINATOR
• Pick the start game and length, with a cut after every game
• A suggested cut line keeps the top half — tap it to set the cut
• The cash line shows exactly who's in the money on the final game
HIGH GAME, SERIES, AND SWEEPER POTS
• "Highest of selected games", "high game every game", or a series total — run as many pots as you want
• Drop-the-lowest-game series, with the dropped game shown right in the standings
• Handicap and scratch pots side by side
MYSTERY DOUBLES AND MYSTERY POTS
• Secretly paired doubles revealed when the event starts
• Mystery score pots with the drawn number shown live
PAYOUTS THAT DO THE MATH
• Payout ladders fill in automatically from your entries — about 1 in 8 cash, and last place never loses money
• Every bowler's winnings itemized by pot, with bracket win-loss records
• Check bowlers off as you pay and watch the amount due fall to zero
LIVE FOR YOUR BOWLERS
Brackets, standings, and payouts stream to the app on bowlers' iPhones and to the free web viewer — scan a QR code and follow along between shots. Print the QR poster, sign-up sheets, and score sheets right from the app.
NO SIGN-UP REQUIRED
Run full events without creating an account. Sign in with Apple or Google only if you want your events to follow you to another device or the web.
