Some bug fixes to pairs matchplay calculations.

In situations where a common tee can be chosen in mixed tee formats the option wasn't easy to find and in some circumstances could cause the app to crash. Both these issues are corrected in this release.

Troon - Old Course, the venue for The Open this year, is a very tough course. Now added to the collections so you can easily see what your handicap would be, and record your score if you are lucky enough to play there. We have also added St Andrews Old Course the venue for the Women's Open this year. Interestingly all six tees are rated for both women and men. (All but one tee are rated for women at Troon). A big thumbs up to both these forward looking clubs.

Calculation error, in some circumstances, for matchplay foursomes has now been corrected.

A minor issue with Matchplay 4 ball better ball calculation has now been corrected. Thank you to an eagle eyed user for bringing this to our attention. In response to many requests from users at one club... Copthorne Golf Club tee ratings and tee colours have changed frequently over the last 9 months. The current correct settings can be downloaded or refreshed from the ''venue | collections' within the 'details' tab. It is now listed first in the 'New' section. Just swipe it left.

Copthorne Golf Club (The default Venue) recently reversed a decision to change tee colours and have more tee options available to men and women. This change is reflected in the ratings now provided at this venue. To update the existing Copthorne venue navigate to Details|Venues|Collections and scroll down to Copthorne. Swipe left and tap 'reload'.

App Updated for 2024 Handicap Calculation Changes (Biggest impact in UK and Ireland).

The new ratings for Copthorne Golf Club are now available to all from the collections by swiping left and choosing Reload.  Some users that have had the app for longer may get 'Reload (May duplicate Tees)'.  Newer tee records have a unique number which allows accurate updating of a tee with new details. Older tees records do not have this number so are not matched which causes a new tee to be added just as if it was really an additional tee. In this case the unwanted older tees can be updated manually to hide or retire them (by entering a retire date. We apologise for the inconvenience but we didn't want to take the chance of updating the wrong tees by using a less than perfect matching process.

At rerating time many clubs reorganise their tees to make better use of the tee area available. Others may decide to change the colours of the tees. Whatever the reason it may be more appropriate to create new tees and retire the old ones. A new feature has been added to indicate a start or end date for a tee being used. Outside of the tee maintenance only tees for the relevant date will be shown.

This version replaces the differentials option with a new 'Venue Calcs' option. The user can select any venue from their venues list to see the differentials for any tee at that venue. Entering the relevant handicap index and allowance means this also shows the course and playing handicap using the teee definition rather than entering these details on the easy calculator screen. Switching to tee handicaps also then shows the course and playing handicap for every tee at that venue to help you decide what tees might work best for you today! Tees at a venue have previously been sorted by gender and course rating. This means the longest tee for a gender is the default. Tees can now be flagged as 'preferred'. The preferred tee(s} will be sorted first for the gender. If only one is selected then obviously that will become the default for the gender.

Delamere and Westhill added to the collection venues

Bug where players couldn't be deleted (as 'in use') now correctly protects only the owner and players actually in use.

Minor Bug fix.

In this version you can easily import your playing record (or even any missing part of your playing record) into DivotPro and explore the playing record analysis and charts for your handicap record. If you already have a complete playing record you can see your handicap for the tees you play the most. You might be surprised to find out what tees you actually score better from for handicap.

Playing History has been updated. The most obvious change is the navigation has changed from a second tab bar to a menu button at the top right of the playing record page. This in part is due to the big news that we now have charts available from the playing history status analysis screen Tapping on different areas of the status analysis will show a relevant chart (more charts to be added in a future release). The same charts are available for playing history analysis of a what-if scenario. Hence you can see on a chart the impact of up to 5 new scores of your choice. Also for anyone put off by the effort required to enter a long playing history there is now an ‘Add Quick Record’ option. This only requires a date and the differential for each score and is very quick to use. You can mix and match quick records with full details records. Quickly get up to date and then you can switch for the new scores to entering full details. Easy. Handicap committee adjustments can now be recorded as required (usually on the latest record).

Where team handicaps are calculated in the group screen the new info button on the left of the bar will provide a breakdown of how the team handicap is calculated. More venues added to the collections.

Player screen updated to more clearly display the groupings of players. Titles have now been added to the player groups to make it easier to find players in your list.
