The Aruba Taxi App is a waste of time. Two out of the three times I attempted to use it, no cabs were available. I was also charged for a ride I never took. While waiting for my ride, the driver just disappeared from my screen. I got a ride from a different cab company, but the app billed me anyway.

Convenient app to summon a cab. Pros: Usually reliable and rides acceptedCons:1) When searching for addresses it suggests other non Aruba places and you need to be specific or add Aruba to make your searches more productive. 2) there are times where you can’t seem to get a ride to be accepted and cancelling and reordering seems to solve the issue. Unknown pattern3) the car on the map is not accurate but you can use the estimated time to know how close the driver is. 4) you won’t know how much it costs until the ride is over, which makes sense that it is based on distance but an estimate would be helpful when placing an order. Tip To Developer:You are probably using an API that has access to everything around the world. Probably can improve use experience by having a predetermined filter to just Aruba unless you guys plan on offering flights elsewhere 😉

I thought the app worked very well. Aruba does not have rideshare companies, but this app worked very similar to how I have used rideshare companies’ apps in USA. There was a $4 convenience fee added to my taxi fare which came from using the app.

The app allows users to schedule a ride, but they can cancel at the last minute. There are not enough taxis available through this app. It is not a reliable service.
