IMPROVEMENTS: - Overhauled theme detection to be much more resilient and performant - Further improvements and fixes across themes with the inbox and the nav - Support and visual improvements for Gmail’s new Manage Subscriptions feature where you can quickly unsubscribe from lots of lists in one place with one click (this Gmail feature seems to still only be available to some personal accounts) - Convert links in emails to Simplify prefs to an action that opens the Simplify preference menu - Block new Hubspot email tracker - Turn Gmail’s search sort menu into an icon and re-scan the list when sort order is changed (this too appears to only be available on some Google Workspace accounts) FIXES: - Match system theme when enabling the parent “Enhance dark themes” pref if the sync with system theme pref is enabled - Prevent messages from reflowing in certain conditions for vertical reading pane – consider if importance indicators are enabled when setting the max width for bundle actions - Change for handling images with html width attribute and inline css max-width style set to 100% if that makes the image smaller

NEW FEATURES: - New keyboard shortcut (O) to open attachments (will not work if you use N/P to move focus around messages in conversation) - New options to customize which actions are shown on bundles - New options to not have date group actions or bundle actions apply to starred messages or unread messages - New option to detect inbox zero if inbox sections are empty OR collapsed (off by default as this could be startling) - New option to redact all content (for taking screenshots) in Debug tools (now named Troubleshooting tools) FIXES: - Temporary fix for detecting the theme color (Gmail changed something and the old way isn’t working all the time right now)

NEW FEATURES - New option to promote Gmail’s message templates and add label menu in compose so you can access them more easily IMPROVEMENTS - Improved compatibility with Boomerang FIXES - Correctly reset the cached email address when loading and validating a paid plan - Avoid opening inline ads when clicking on next/previous in message view

Urgent fix for syncing dark mode with OS – Gmail changed the code around the theme dialog and Simplify isn’t able to find the [Save] button.

IMPROVEMENTS - Move the “View all” button to after the other actions (I was accidentally pressing it instead of Archive) and only show it if the the bundle is open - Add a button to check for an active plan in Safari that doesn't link out FIXES - I was incorrectly detecting Multiple Inboxes as Reading Pane and it was causing issues - Fix scrolling in popped-out composer

NEW FEATURES - Make adding space between bullets an option - Option to re-collapsed previously collapsed inbox sections on reloading Gmail - Add back the “View all” button on bundles title bar IMPROVEMENTS - Don't add space between bullets if there are p tags in the bullets. - Adjustments to the bundle title in vPane to make everything line up nicely in various configurations - When using the ESC key to close the attachment preview, only close the attachment and not the message (no idea why Gmail does this) FIXES - Don't trigger copy conversation link function if there is an attachment open - Ignore left/right arrow shortcuts if attachments preview is open - Get rid of the v3 launch banner - Fix a bug with Reading Pane where it didn't initialize correctly in certain edge cases - Fix color of snooze button in list on mediumTheme and imgTheme (it was invisible)

FIXES: - Fix hiding the empty inbox banner in certain configurations

FIXES - Fix bug with Auto CC/BCC feature for users with no From address drop down - Fix archive button not being visible on bundles in the dark theme

NEW FEATURES - MASSIVE upgrade to Auto CC/BCC feature: rules are now Gmail account-specific (not shared across accounts in same browser profile), you can make the auto-bcc/cc conditional on a number of things from the recipients, from address, and ignoring internal mail, and you can have multiple rule sets - Better Gmail filters settings UI – split match rules and actions into columns for better scanability, add ability to sort on action, and float the actions in bottom corner for better accessibility - Support Simplehuman extension - Add option to replace non-breaking spaces ( ) in compose with an actual space (this is off by default and a work in progress as it is still a bit buggy) IMPROVEMENTS - Hide new style of Gmail ad and avoid them when using next/previous in conversation view on bundled list - Re-scan the list if something is added to the list without re-building the entire list - Hide Gmail’s ad for Gemini (the button) behind the profile picture by default - Show the add-ons tray to the side of Gemini or Quick Settings instead of hiding it - Improvements to how I add the Copy Private Link button to the conversation - Trying to handle new cases in testing what has focus (to not steal it away from something like compose) when pressing up/down in a bundled list - Improve max-width on inline images; do a better job of not squeezing small images in tables - Update the check for pasted text from Google Docs to avoid bad line wrapping in Outlook - Move reminders button over if side-bar extensions are open - Put padding back below tabbed inbox with readingPane disabled - Adjust padding on new Gmail message info cards (shipping or tickets info, etc) - Small stylistic improvements to the Label As menu (much improved for people with long labels FIXES - Change all app icons to be embedded SVGs to work around bug in Safari 18 that won’t load local images from an extension - More to ensure I keep draft reminders as reminders and emails as emails in full screen compose (the two were conflicting and the Reminders UI was getting incorrectly applied to emails in certain situations) - Fix for the nav not showing on hover over Mail when the app nav is shown - Fix bug where I got the wrong label for the short label names on a bundle title when a message has multiple labels - Fix label highlight color (on hover) and menu button visibility in vertical split reading pane (it was getting made invisible by being inverted) - Look for any menus having focus as well as focus being on something that is clickable when overriding Enter or Esc key

NEW FEATURES - New preference for initial compose height - Detect and remember certain Gmail settings if user ever goes to Gmail settings (helpful for detecting conflicts or issues with Simplify) IMPROVEMENTS - If the inbox is hidden, keep it hidden on reload - Make the "Paused inbox" banner visible in the tabbed inbox on vertical split pane and more visible (yellow background) in all inbox types for vertical split pane (maybe I should do this for all views?) - Move composer over more when compose fab is disabled - Move conversation over more to the left when new compose mole is open (reduce overlap between conversation and compose) - Better root selector for ignoring quoted text when testing if an email is an HTML email - Change from using box-shadow to border for hovering over items (some users report this renders a little better on certain screens and I now apply the border inside bundles too) - Simplify how I set the max width on the message body FIXES - Fix schedule send for inline replies - Make the Archive all button visible in .mediumTheme

NEW FEATURES: - Warn users on older browsers (Simplify depends on updates to browsers in Chrome/Edge v105, Safari v15.4, and Firefox v121) IMPROVEMENTS - Move to event.key from event.code in most places to better support different keyboard layouts and languages (but not yet for Option+Key or Alt+Key shortcuts as this doesn’t work) - Make the message details easier to read and prevent the emails from wrapping - Some small details and improvements to the Label As and Move To menu; Also centering the dialogs if the actions are hidden in the action bar (they were showing up in the top right corner otherwise) - Highlight the message count on focus of a closed bundle to bring attention to this being a group of conversations, not just one - Don't invert add-ons by default FIXES - Fixed the bundle auto-closing when dealing with a message that is in two bundles - Do a better job of scrolling to the focused message when returning to a bundled list - Add "+" to the bundle number if the section has more items than shown - Make the inbox toggle in the nav actually toggle for pausing the inbox in dark mode - Correctly position the action bar in horizontal split pane when you open a message from the search one box (which hides the reading pane) - Make the inline attachment icon in dark mode white so you can see it

IMPROVEMENTS - Block trackers from ngpvan.com (platform used for a lot of political newsletters) FIXES - Support J/K in conversation view when in a bundled list - Keep quick settings fully hidden when switching to dark theme so there is no jitter/jump - Better target reducing the border radius in vPane to only when it is wrapped lines - Remove extra padding at end of conversation card - Make sure the blue unread dots don't get squished in vPane when the list pane is narrow - Cache focus in a bundled view outside the inbox (causing oddities in reading pane) - Keep the advanced search button visible when the search box is focused - Fix bookmarking a message in a search - Move removing the signature to later in creating a new reminder as sometimes the content was loading after this was called - Warn against incompatibility with other extension, GMPlus
