I literally NEVER leave reviews but this app is just too good. For someone like me (want to know more but just doesn’t know where to start) this app is perfect. It “quizzes” you but also leaves you the option of exploring the artist which actually piques your interest. Example- I see Hieronymous painting via app. I learn which era he existed but not much else. If I’m interested, I can do a little googling and do a little self-led discovery. Good stuff :)

Big Creeky
I LOVE the app, as far as it goes, but it definitely has some bugs that need to be worked out! I have difficulty with the quiz part, most times the artwork to be attributed or identified doesn’t appear. Also, there does not seem to be a way to transition back to the different art movements page after answering the quiz. I just have to swipe up and flick that page away and then go back to the app from the icon. Other than those problems, I LOVE it, and would happily give it 5 stars if and when those problems are resolved! Also would like to see Surrealism, Cubism, Tenebrism, Fauveism, Expressionism, Pop Art, and Italian Transavangardia represented! Thank you, TIFFFANYANN JOAN ROSE-SMITH. PS. Sometimes when the painting(or sculpture or architecture) DOES come up, and I know the answer, all four of the multiple choice answers do not show, only three, and the one furthest down at the bottom that does NOT show is the Correct Answer, but I am unable to select it because I can’t see it! This is MOST AGGRAVATING AND MADDENING! A suggestion to remedy this problem: instead of using the words, “Who is the artist?” above the choices, perhaps you could merely say, “Identify, please!” This would leave space for the fourth of the four multiple choices!
Work in Progress

Firstly, I am so thankful an app like this exists. I’ve been organizing my favorite artworks in apps like Quizlet for years, but Artly has more potential in this domain. The deconstruction of movements, forms, and schools is a wonderful idea for those who seek a more elevated appreciation of art, but those willing to pay for an app like this need more and in greater detail. I’d ask that you include dates for everything, add artist biographies, historical context as well as interpretations of the paintings, and the format of the quizzes needs to change. I think it would be highly beneficial to have a learning period for each set of material, wherein the student can gain exposure to names and paintings (similar to Quizlet) and then a comprehensive and difficult testing portion. The foundation is there, but for this to be a success, the possibilities need to be greater. Make this app the end, not a means to an end! I’ve subscribed for one year on the basis of good faith in the hopes that improvements are made. I’ve never commented on an app before, but I’d like to see this one realize its potential.
Great for Basics, no Depth Though

This app is great for memorizing famous works in their respective art movements, but it doesn’t give very much detail about the time period (common, distinctive artistic features, techniques, or intentions) and it gives no information on the artists (ex. short biography or how their style differentiates them) nor does it offer deeper information on the piece itself (ex. what is unique about it, why it was revolutionary, etc.)If you just want to memorize artist names and works, then this is a good start! I would like to see more information though, especially since it is paid content.
Our app is now also available in German, French, Portuguese, Spanish and Chinese,
Also we made some UI changes :)
