Tarot Simple: Cards & Readings 12+

I’ve tried all the top tarot apps in the App Store and Tarot Simple is by far my favorite. The card meanings are all clearly well researched (based on the Smith-Waite tradition). I love that a succinct interpretation is given at the top of each card page, then the traditional Arthur Waite text is included and credited, and then you can scroll down for further information. Great format overall and the app is easy to use without a lot of the floofy nonsense I’ve seen in other apps.
I most often use the Library section of the app in conjunction with my physical card readings, but I use the card draw features as well if I don’t have my physical deck available.

One addition I would love to see is a Tarot Simple widget that displays the daily affirmation.

I am total newbie for Tarot and this app helped me so much to learn , at the same time when is crucial decision that I sense the need of leveraging Tarot fortune telling, I would use the app to generate the spread for me, which is accompanied by detailed Tarot reading per card ❤️

Why I say it is the best? I downloaded 4-5 other Tarot apps to try before finding this one. either they have hidden app charge or subscription charge, not enough Spread, or ugly confusing UI design, which frustrated me a ton as someone who simply want to know more about Tarot and do some fortune telling on my phone from time to time.

I am uncertain the coding of this App, if random number generators are used, which ones, and what kind of magick has gone into the creation of this app - However, I Dreamscapes classical, and actually quite in-depth descriptions of the cards, a bunch of different spreads, and more – important, IT’S FREE!

As Don Webb writes, you can use any oracle that you like, but you must trust it, and pretend that consulting it is like consulting, a high-powered attorney and costs you a great deal of money, each time - so consulting it over and over again for the same question is unproductive. I have had countless reliable readings. And I have had countless readings that make no sense.
I use this when I am in a pinch and can’t trust my intuition. Very good app. Four stars.

I designed Tarot Simple to function the same way as a physical deck of cards. So you shuffle, and deal, flip the cards over, and interpret them yourself. (More recently I have added an available AI interpretation, but you are still free also to interpret the cards yourself. I encourage people to do this, for the sake of their own learning.) Yes I have used a random number generator to provide the result of the shuffle, and I know there is debate in the tarot community over whether it is possible to access the spirit or the magic in this way. In my code, the cards are actually selected at the moment that the user stops the shuffle — and so this is the same imo as when the user of physical cards decides to stop shuffling. Shuffle with intention while focusing on your question and you will receive the cards whether physical or in the app.

About accuracy, I would say also that as with physical cards, not all readings will resonate with you. I sometimes look for some ‘confirming’ card in the reading (that tells me what I already know) and then I can consider the whole reading is valid. But as with physical cards, if the whole thing is off, maybe I am not feeling it and there is no harm in trying again or trying later.

As a long time tarot student and practitioner, I have put my tarot understanding and philosophy into this app. I am glad you are getting use of it and I appreciate your feedback!
