Trustworthy way to purchase used books!

I have made several purchases through this app from different sellers and I really just want to appreciate how user friendly this app really is! Not only can you search for a specific title, you can search for the author and all books by that author load. Additionally, let’s say I don’t think to search by author but I searched for a book series, Pango Books also give a suggested search by author, and all you have to do is click, not write out the author, and Wha-La! It’s also so very easy to favorite books, if you’re not yet ready to purchase, or just want to compare who’s selling the same thing! ALSOOOO, sellers have the option / opportunity to send you a special discount, should you “like” or load the book into your cart. Pango Books also recently rolled out the option to make an offer to sellers. Once you purchase a book or series, Ect, Pango Books keeps track of whether or not the seller has entered shipping, (you track shipping in the app as well as you receive an email with tracking). So it’s an easy app to use and to me, a safe bet that you’re getting what the seller has described. You are able to rate the seller and leave public feed back as well as direct message the seller. Which is all incentive for integrity! I have purchased three full series (each different transaction & each different seller), and I have my eyes on more. So take it from a repeat purchaser, that you have found a really great app for used (and many new) books!

Best book app to buy or sell on!!!

I have been using Pango for about 2 years now and they are hands down the best overall site on the internet to buy and/or sell books at. They have a great broad selection with many hard to find titles. You are buying from regular people just like us and none of the large conglomerate dishonest book companies. That means you can actually ask questions about specific books and get direct quick responses, you can see photos of the actual books you are purchasing instead of just a stock photo with a description that says “acceptable” or “good”, you can find prices many times much lower than elsewhere because most sellers are simply clearing out clutter or trying to fund their own personal book collections, you can find many knowledgeable sellers who have been collectors for years, the shipping fees are rock bottom including combined shipping costs and Pango provides top notch respectful and understanding customer service to buyers and sellers right away. You can also message a seller to work out a deal or ask about additional books. ***Here’s an inside tip for any Star Wars literature collectors*** Check out the sellers page called “Mos Crowley Cantina”. Most honest and fair seller of every type of Star Wars literature on the internet! Especially if you’re willing to purchase a bundle. Shoot him a message about his huge inventory on and off the site.

I’ve had this app for about a week and I’m loving it so far! I’ve found some books for super cheap in great condition. I also think that this app is cool because I’ve been finding books that I’ve never heard about before. I will say that most of the selection is older books but there are some people selling the newer popular books too! I just think that the prices are great, especially shipping! I also sell on this app and think it’s pretty easy to navigate through and it’s nice to get a little something for books I don’t read anymore. Since it is a new app, there are always ways for it to improve and here are a few. When you wishlist books, it doesn’t add them right away in the shop portion of the app. I think you have to exit the app and swipe up to restart the app for it to show up or it just shows up whenever. I’ve also found myself accidentally deleting my listing for selling so I think automatic saved drafts of listings you want to sell would be a good idea. Finally, after you look at a certain thread and want to go back to the thread homepage, it takes you back to the top/all the way to the beginning, not where you were before. This makes it so you have to scroll all the way to where you left off or miss threads that people posted. But these are just little nit picky ways to improve an otherwise great app!

I’ve been a seller on Pango for 3 years now. When I first started I was making sales left and right but over the years the app has become extremely popular and with that popularity comes an over-saturation of books. This is not a complaint; I’m pleased to see the app doing so well and the creators have done a wonderful job of upgrading and tweaking the interface for the best experience. If I had to share one complaint it would be that I wish there was a way for more shops to be highlighted and that there was a way for your books to show up on users feeds without having to add new books or change the prices. After a while you’ve listed all the books and the prices are as low as they can go. At that point the only way anyone finds you is if they search a title in particular that you happen to have. That being said there a lot of shops highlighted on the platform under different categories and I wish I knew how these shops were chosen because after 3 years of selling books and making hundred’s of sales I feel my shop has earned its place and I wish it was one of the ones recommended to users. I would also like to see smaller/newer shops highlighted more. I don’t exactly know what the answer is but I hope in the future there are more opportunities for my shop and others to be suggested and/or recommended to users. I’d like to finish my review by saying that I love this app and I’m grateful it exists. I truly recommend it if you’re looking to sell books because (at least in the US) it’s the only app of its kind where it’s specific to books and has a social media type interface.

Hi there, thank you very much for being part of the Pango community and for your thoughtful review. We have passed this information along to our developers and marketing team to keep in mind for future app updates, as we are always working to make PangoBooks even better! It is possible that you have been featured as a recommended seller on the app homepage, but you will not see your own store as a feature on your account. In general, the best practices to be featured are to consistently post new listings, to have a good amount of inventory within a specific category, and to maintain a high seller rating.Thank you again for your support and review!
