DeyesFree is a dice roller built to be used without looking at it. Roll the dice and a real recorded human voice speaks every die and the total — or turn the voice off and feel the answer. Designed from day one for players who are blind or have low vision, and just as handy for anyone who wants to keep their eyes on the game instead of a screen.
ROLL ANYTHING
• 1 to 100 dice with any number of sides — 3d6+2, 1d20, 2d100, whatever your game calls for
• Mix dice in one roll: 1d20+2d6+3, each group with its own rule
• Or type it: 2d20kh1+3, 5d10≥7, 4d6dl1×6, with a plain-language preview as you go
• Fate dice, d6d6, and coin flips that speak heads and tails
• Rules built in: advantage, keep or drop, success pools, exploding and penetrating dice, rerolls, floors and caps, risk dice, duality dice, and more
• Set a target and hear the verdict — hit, miss, or a partial success, with criticals on any die at any range
• A rules reference explains every rule, with an example you can roll
HEAR EVERY ROLL
• Fifteen professionally recorded human voices in nine languages, at any speed from 0.5× to 2.5×
• Short, distinct sounds identify each tabletop rule
• Choose what a roll says by itself: the total, every die, or both
• Dice rattle across the table as you roll, with optional tavern ambiance
OR FEEL IT INSTEAD
• Results can be spoken, felt, or both.
• A haptic tally taps the answer on your phone: a long buzz for every five, a short tap for every one, so a 17 is three buzzes and two taps
• Read your dice in a loud bar, a quiet library, or under the table — nothing spoken, nothing to look at
DICE BAGS
• A separate bag for every game: presets, tables, counters, history, and settings in each
• More than forty ready-made bags, shelved by genre — pick your system, the presets are set up
• Roll tables: the number is spoken, the outcome appears on screen
• Deck tables deal without replacement, like cards off the top — including a 54-card action deck
• Counters for hit points, ammo, or initiative — every change is spoken
• Preset groups: roll the attack, then the damage if it hit, in one tap
• Effect dice: switch on Bless and 1d4 rides your checks — any dice, any sides, plus or minus
• Share a bag with your party as a file, and mark tables private so players can't read them
PLAY LIKE A PRO
• Mark the dice you want to keep and reroll the rest — or just shake your phone
• Roll history names your rolls and brings any back with a tap
• Share any roll as text, ready to paste into your group chat
• Made for iPhone and iPad, in any orientation
JUST ASK SIRI
• "Hey Siri, roll two dice with DeyesFree" — they roll and speak in the recorded voice, without even opening the app
• Say any roll — "roll 3d6", "roll with advantage", "flip a coin" — or a preset by name
BUILT FOR ACCESSIBILITY
• Full VoiceOver support
• Braille mode: every result flashes on your braille display instead of speaking
• Magic Tap (two-finger double tap) rerolls from anywhere
• Hardware keyboard control: roll, mark, sort, and step through dice without touching the screen
ON APPLE WATCH
• Tap the screen or shake your wrist to roll
• Swipe to change the dice, turn the Digital Crown to pick a preset
• Add the complication to your watch face — one tap rolls and speaks it
• Presets, voice, and speed sync automatically from your iPhone
• Speaks entirely on its own — no VoiceOver required
This app makes rolling easy. Otherdicerolling apps I’ve used are clunky and frustrating. When you’re playing with others, you need to be able to roll quickly so you don’t bog down the game, this applet’s you do that. It is laid out in a logical and convenient way and a pleasure to use. Thanks for creating this app.
Ridiculously Full-Featured
AserGTolentino
This app lets you do everything from rolling on the fly to setting up complicated, conditional rolls grouped as presets that can be saved, shared and even synced. It’s that rarest of treasures:an excellent concept executed well.
Great D&D tool
straymonkey
Playing D&D now became a whole lot easier to play and eat snacks at the same time.
DeyesFree 4.1 adds the arithmetic your table does after the dice land.
MULTIPLY AND DIVIDE
• A roll can scale its whole total as the last step: 2d6×100 for a treasure hoard, 8d6/2 for half damage on a save
• Type it as *10 or /2, or set it in the roll editor; a rising or falling sweep names the scale before the answer
RANGE DICE
• Roll any whole number between two faces you choose: d50to100, d0to9 for a percentile digit, even d-5to5
HALF AND DOUBLE
• After any roll, two buttons beside Read speak half or twice the result without rerolling (H and D on a keyboard)
NEW LANGUAGE
• The whole app is now in Polish, with a recorded Polish voice
AND MORE
• A Treasure hoards bag: the hoard tables by tier as ready-made scaled rolls
• Notes on presets and groups, read by VoiceOver with the name
• Various bug fixes and improvements
