I like the concept of this app and that I can block certain web topics, but the app blocking doesn't work. Every time I block an app, it reactivates itself. I didn't want this app for much, but it's frustrating that one of the features I wanted it for doesn't really work.

You diagnosed the old app's biggest flaw exactly. Back in 2021, iOS didn't give parental apps real enforcement power, so blocks could silently undo themselves — endlessly frustrating, and we're sorry. Fixing that is the whole reason we rebuilt Parental Values from the ground up on Apple's Family Controls framework: blocks are now enforced by iOS itself, so a blocked app stays blocked until you unblock it. There are also per-app daily limits, schedules, a one-tap Instant Block for the whole phone, and the web filtering you liked now includes SafeSearch. Shut down app with No warning!! Don’t use

***Update So I tried logging into my account and unable to. Tried resetting password and says email not found. Not able to contact developers because I believe they shut down without warning. In the beginning it would work as described but even after updating app and reinstalling on sons phone, it will not work at all. Set it to block phone usage after a certain time but he’s still able to access all his games Time for a new update on developers end

Parental Values was rebuilt from the ground up this year — you now install this same app on both phones, add your child via Apple Family Sharing, and pair the two devices with a QR code.
