The protean iOS application provides a digital means to complete customized regulatory compliance inspection checklists. Inspectors are able to view attributes of a regulated facility and associated equipment in-app. The app leads inspectors through predefined custom inspection workflows that incorporate preliminary and follow-up questions drawn from regulatory requirements. The app allows the inspector to cite compliance deficiencies as appropriate and create a digital report notating whether a facility is in compliance or not. The application utilizes the iOS device’s camera, GPS, touch screen, and ability to enter comments to capture accurate compliance data and clearly identify and communicate the inspector’s findings and citations in the report.
