The pronunciation audio does not work and if you’re gonna stick ads in there then at least give us an option to pay a premium to remove the ads.

The first thing after opening the app and selecting option not to login, there is a full screen popup with tracking consents (I clicked app not to track when first opening) and then there are personalized advertisements that I already did not agree to. App unusable. I didn’t even have a chance to get to know the app and use it for a while because of that tracking ads system. My data are not for sale

Decent language learning, hampered by bad app code

Of all the HSK flashcard apps I’ve tried, this is probably the better ones in terms of the learning experience mechanics.Unfortunately what holds the app back is the way the code was written. It does not save where you are if the app is forced to close due to low memory, for example. So you cannot make it review 200 cards a day and just use it at your leisure because just running Safari will cause it to reset your progress. Another example is that the sound playback is dependent on an internet connection, which you won’t have on many plane flights and high speed rail trips when you’re in the tunnels.I will still give it a 4/5 to be generous, and also because the other apps I’ve tried have even worse bugs and poor programming, but it’s still leagues ahead of Duolingo as far as cramming all the glue vocabulary you need to get ahead in actual life and conversation.
