I am generally not a fan of subscriptions, but a reasonable price like this and if you can pick longer term generally makes it easier to accept. With that in mind would you consider a 2 year option for the subscription? Also would you consider adding some testing options for SNMP before going through the setup (via snmpwalk or handful of gets to decide if you want to use those OIDs)?

PeakHour is amazing. It allows me to have insight into bandwidth and latency across my network. It can monitor everything from my Mac , my router, my access points, my ISP, any internet destination and all points in between. Now I finally have a clean and polished dashboard that gives me at a glance insight into how my network is performing. No need to be on the fence, this app is the real deal.

I won't be subscribing to this. When I saw the PH5 announcement I was excited to upgrade to PH5 with the expectation that the cost of the upgrade will compensate the developer for work well done on PH4 and likely continued through PH5. Peak Hour 4 was a lovely little app that did it's job without needing to charge a recurring fee. Now 5 will replace it, and 4 will certainly go away once its use as advertisement for 5 is expended. I'm wiling to pay a reasonable price for a purchase but am unwilling to pay subscriptions fees for anything without an obvious recurring cost that can't be sufficienly offset with an upfront payment.

Still the best bandwidth monitoring app. Unfortunately it still doesn't work with Google Nest Pro 6E Wifi router (Peak Hour 4 didn't either). This is probably more of a problem with Google than Peak Hour (no other bandwidth monitoring app works correctly with Nest Pro either).

PeakHour 6.1 gives the Advisor a window of its own, and shows you exactly where a slowdown starts.
• PeakHour Advisor has its own window with five pages: Your Network, The Internet, Speed Test, History and Report. Open it from the grade, the menu bar, or Window > PeakHour Advisor (⌥⌘A).
• Your Network leads with your grade, a plain-English summary and checks for video calls, gaming, streaming and remote desktop. It also shows what your speeds make possible, from video quality to the time a large download takes.
• A path diagram shows This Mac, your router, your ISP and the internet, with the latency of each link and where a problem starts.
• The Internet puts each site on a map, with its route hop by hop.
• History keeps your grade every 30 seconds, even while the window is closed, plus a log of your speed tests, with filters and CSV export.
• On macOS 27, turn on Private Cloud Compute to ask the Advisor questions about your network.
• The Network Quality test is now called Speed Test. Enter your plan in Settings > Dashboard > Internet Plan, and each test shows the share of your plan you get, and what limits it.
• New This Mac, Router and ISP cards: hover over a column on the dashboard, then click to open its details.
• New latency monitors start with a choice: ISP to Internet, One Host or Custom. A picture shows the part of the path each one measures, and the site list now includes AI services such as Claude, ChatGPT and Gemini.
• Also new: optional Wi-Fi alerts, your own colors for each bandwidth monitor, graphs shared from the main window with a title, legend and scale, and Last 7 Days now includes today.
• Turning off the Internet Dashboard now asks whether to remove its monitors.
• With an Annual Pass or a free trial, you can now buy the Lifetime License from Settings > About.

Thank you to everyone who has tried PeakHour 6 so far, and a special thank-you to those of you who sent feedback and bug reports. This update is a batch of fixes, mostly for graphs, usage totals and monitors.
• Bandwidth graphs stay calm: one bad reading no longer sends the scale sky-high, a router coming back after an outage no longer causes a spike, and the axis labels now land on nice round numbers like 5, 10 and 15 Gb/s.
• Usage totals no longer jump by about 4 GB when a router misreports its traffic counter, and relaunching PeakHour can no longer add a huge amount to them.
• History now records the right amounts at every refresh interval.
• SNMP monitors now read their traffic counters correctly, even when PeakHour starts before the network is ready.
• "This Mac" no longer gets stuck on "Not configured" when PeakHour starts before the network is up.
• A UPnP router that stops answering now settles on Error instead of cycling through Active, Warning and Error, and a monitor's status dot always agrees with its label.
• Good news for VPN users: with a full-tunnel VPN on, PeakHour now measures your real router, not the tunnel. It no longer mistakes a Wi-Fi access point for your router, and latency from your ISP to a site no longer reads 0.0 ms.
• PeakHour no longer hogs a whole CPU core when a device on your network sends an empty discovery message.

This update fixes a start-up problem and makes connection alerts calmer.
• PeakHour could hang at launch on a Mac connected by Ethernet and never reach the menu bar. It now starts normally.
• Connection alerts no longer flood Notification Center when a line drops and comes back again and again. PeakHour now alerts only after a connection has been down for 30 seconds, and after a "connection restored" alert it waits a few minutes before it alerts again.
• A window that PeakHour opens on its own — the purchase window, the iCloud sync prompt, the ISP consent prompt — no longer takes the keyboard focus from the app you are working in.
• The "connection restored" alert now says which connection came back, such as Wi-Fi or Ethernet.
• On Ethernet, the menu bar dashboard now shows a plain router, without the Wi-Fi arcs.

Hello PeakHour fans! We're super-excited to show you what we've been working on these past few months. Check out all these new features and changes in this big new release:

New: Brand new menu bar engine! Our new Menu Bar system gives you even more customization and flexibility, in a more intuitive and easy-to-use configuration. A new Internet Dashboard menu bar widget lets you keep an eye on your Internet performance in a more space-efficient way. More customization options let you configure your menu bar to suit your taste and monitoring preferences.
New: Symbols! Now, you can assign unique symbols to each of your monitors, making them easier to identify at a glance. Optionally display these monitors in the menu bar for quick and easy differentiation.
Improved: The updated Internet Dashboard now provides a simplified view of your Internet health. Each hop displays a status at the top, giving you a quick overview. We’ve also added packet loss and jitter indicators for deeper insight into potential issues.
Improved: A redesigned main view offers a cleaner, more organized look, making it easier to distinguish between different monitors and identify problems. The views are now more dynamic, gracefully adapting to smaller sizes. Plus, Connection Quality monitors now display packet loss percentages if detected.
Improved: Simplified Settings. We’ve streamlined the settings window by redesigning certain areas, simplifying the layout, and removing unnecessary tabs.

PeakHour 6.1 gives the Advisor a window of its own, and shows you exactly where a slowdown starts.
• PeakHour Advisor has its own window with five pages: Your Network, The Internet, Speed Test, History and Report. Open it from the grade, the menu bar, or Window > PeakHour Advisor (⌥⌘A).
• Your Network leads with your grade, a plain-English summary and checks for video calls, gaming, streaming and remote desktop. It also shows what your speeds make possible, from video quality to the time a large download takes.
• A path diagram shows This Mac, your router, your ISP and the internet, with the latency of each link and where a problem starts.
• The Internet puts each site on a map, with its route hop by hop.
• History keeps your grade every 30 seconds, even while the window is closed, plus a log of your speed tests, with filters and CSV export.
• On macOS 27, turn on Private Cloud Compute to ask the Advisor questions about your network.
• The Network Quality test is now called Speed Test. Enter your plan in Settings > Dashboard > Internet Plan, and each test shows the share of your plan you get, and what limits it.
• New This Mac, Router and ISP cards: hover over a column on the dashboard, then click to open its details.
• New latency monitors start with a choice: ISP to Internet, One Host or Custom. A picture shows the part of the path each one measures, and the site list now includes AI services such as Claude, ChatGPT and Gemini.
• Also new: optional Wi-Fi alerts, your own colors for each bandwidth monitor, graphs shared from the main window with a title, legend and scale, and Last 7 Days now includes today.
• Turning off the Internet Dashboard now asks whether to remove its monitors.
• With an Annual Pass or a free trial, you can now buy the Lifetime License from Settings > About.
