Peakhour is great utility app

This new version looks great! The subscription price is reasonable. I am generally not a fan of subscriptions, but a reasonable price like this and if you can pick longer term generally makes it easier to accept. With that in mind would you consider a 2 year option for the subscription? Also would you consider adding some testing options for SNMP before going through the setup (via snmpwalk or handful of gets to decide if you want to use those OIDs)?

Still the best bandwidth monitoring app. Unfortunately it still doesn't work with Google Nest Pro 6E Wifi router (Peak Hour 4 didn't either). This is probably more of a problem with Google than Peak Hour (no other bandwidth monitoring app works correctly with Nest Pro either).

Subscriptions are a cancer

I won't be subscribing to this. When I saw the PH5 announcement I was excited to upgrade to PH5 with the expectation that the cost of the upgrade will compensate the developer for work well done on PH4 and likely continued through PH5. Peak Hour 4 was a lovely little app that did it's job without needing to charge a recurring fee. Now 5 will replace it, and 4 will certainly go away once its use as advertisement for 5 is expended. I'm wiling to pay a reasonable price for a purchase but am unwilling to pay subscriptions fees for anything without an obvious recurring cost that can't be sufficienly offset with an upfront payment.

Always happy to pay for a new version (even more than what the AMAZING 20% discount gives me) as I understand work goes into adding new features, but another developer has gone down the subscription-model rabbit hole, wanting you to forget to cancel, so they can re-charge you for adding little to no content.Stick with old version, or just find something else, as what PeakHour does is cool but honestly not essential for any real network diagnostics and charging a subscription for it is just highway robbery.

This decision was made to keep PeakHour affordable, whilst also keeping it sustainable. Our goal is to make continuous improvements and add meaningful features to PeakHour, ensuring it remains a top-tier tool for network monitoring and diagnostics.It also allows us to offer a free version in the Appstore, something that isn't currently possible with a fixed price app (under Apple's current rules at least). A free version is important for an app like PeakHour because some of its functionality relies on having a compatible router, so a trial period to test that functionality is critical.In terms of support, I'd like to point out that PeakHour 4 received significant ongoing support over it's life - 27 individual updates to be exact. These updates include improvements, bug fixes, and performance enhancements, and support for new macOS versions. This demonstrates our commitment to maintaining PeakHour as a robust and up-to-date tool.PeakHour 4 has been fully updated to work with macOS Sonoma, in parallel with the release of PeakHour 5. We're not forcing anybody to update to this new version. Those who are happy with PeakHour 4 can continue using it, on the latest version of macOS.
