虛擬實境技術已隨科技蓬勃發展中日漸成熟，將其應用至教學模式中，將生硬的2D圖片轉換成3D模型，嵌入互動式動畫，用以輔助學生在基礎生物的學習，呈現出細胞分裂的過程以及遺傳法則，提供擬真的學習環境，有效引起學生的學習動機，達到良好的學習成效。學習者只需利用行動載具及無線網路搭配cardboard即可進行自主學習，不受時間及空間限制，增加便利性和即時性。
最後的互動練習，除了以問答方式來衡量學生透過虛擬實境教材的學習成效之外，能即時給予反饋結果。而學生除了可以在課堂時間使用，更可以跨越時間與空間的限制，透過行動裝置反覆觀看學習，增加學習上的便利性和即時性。
「細胞分裂、減數分裂與生物的遺傳」包含三大單元：
※ 細胞分裂
以虛擬實境(VR)教材呈現細胞分裂的過程，讓學生可以了解其中染色體狀態與數量的變化，讓學生理解細胞分裂與減數分裂過程中的差異，在一般細胞分裂的過程中能夠了解染色體型態與數目的變化。
※ 減數分裂
引導學生透過3D虛擬實境教材，提供更擬真的情境，在減數分裂過程中能夠辨別同源染色體與複製染色體的差異、套數與對數的變化以及意義。
※ 生物的遺傳
使學生能透過虛擬實境(VR)教材，體驗孟德爾的豌豆實驗過程等知識，從中發現孟德爾在遺傳學上所發現的兩大定律，並學習利用棋盤方格計算後代性狀的比例。
操作說明：
1. 依照指示說明組裝cardboard
2. 將智慧型手機橫向放置，並點選APP按鈕，開啟VR。
3. 將開啟APP之智慧型手機橫向安裝至cardboard中。
4. 戴上carboard後即可使用。
5. 使用准心對準按鈕讀取進行操作。
