This release of Cambridge Reader 2 includes new functionality (previously only available on the web reader): Students and teachers can add new resources directly to the app bookshelf using an access code. Students can join a group (class) set up by their teacher by entering a group code. Teachers can view groups (classes) that they created on the web reader. Students can complete assessments using the app once they have been set by the teacher. Clear links are now available on the login screen to help guide new users through the registration process. Additional security and encryption updates have also been made.

This release of Cambridge Reader 2 extends the range of compatible devices, allowing users of Elevate, Go and Cambridge Learn Premium to access ebooks on either a smartphone or tablet device. It also improves the display of key interactive content.
